Takashi Shimizu, director of Japanese of horror's movies, known for The Grudge, announced through the pages of Famitsu a new Wii game based heavily on Ju-On, series composed by The Curse and the license cited previously. Provisionally known 'Feel', no specific information is currently known apart from adopting a subjective view. Stay tuned because more details should not delay.

There are high quality pics out there on the site formerly known as jeux france.

Looks pretty good graphically and similar to that Hudson first person horror game. Only bloodier.

Okay, this looks pretty messed up.

Would probably sell a lot better if it carried the "Ju-On/Grudge" branding though.

I really liked what I saw. I think it looks really atmospheric game. And I got the feel that it will be horror over shooting. Also it reminds me of Penumbra <3 Well I know it won't be like Penumbra but still, man can dream.

I was desperately hoping to see a game like this come to Wii, I'm a big J-horror fan, so this is a dream come true!!!

The grudge movies were excellent, fantastic story telling, so much better than most western horror movies that rely on gore porn to keep an audience. If the game is based heavily on Juon/Grudge, then we can expect some genuine scary ass shit, and hopefully an engaging story to reel us in...I smell a new Wii franchise:D

EDIT:

That second scan has a pic of someone holding a flashlight and looking up to the balcony, the same balcony in the house of the movie...direct movie tie in? It would be great to play as yourself and not one of the characters in the movie...
There better not be any futch'n rails here, other than the ones in the banister

AQ Interactive is publishing. They're the dudes who published the Wii Victorious Boxers game, among others. They've never self published out of Japan so I assume the game is up for grabs.

Dunno who's developing

More like finally there is one. This should have happened a long time ago. Hope they don't mess this up.

It looks really good, but I wonder if it'll get a US release if it's based directly off of Ju-On?

On the scan they have picture of Chiaki Kuriyama (Kill Bill, Battle Royale) so its likely to be based on the tv movie version of Ju-on.

It had a good scene that was not included in the theatrical movie version that took place in the in a classroom with Chiaki Kuriyama.

Screw you, I wanna play this someday.

Since the game is already being published by AQ Interactive in Japan, you think Ninty will take it from them just to keep it from being published anywhere else? Paranoid much?

Such a game can't never reach the break-even without beeing released overseas, goddamnit. How much would it sell in Japan alone? 50.000 - 100.000??

It has to be released here!

Pulse is a completely different film, I really can't see why you're comparing the two? Anyway the Ju-On titles were the best slasher flicks in a long time, will be very interesting to see how the game plays out given you know the characters you play are going to die. Exploring to discover you own death? I'm not sure how it's going to work but it could be interesting, especially given the Siren's were obviously inspired by the films.

AQ Interactive and XSeed have some kind of agreement or something, don't they?

Game would be sweetness with motionplus.

Why do people say things like this? What exactly would motionplus be bringing to the table in a horror game? 1:1 ghost fleeing?

Except XSEED's hardly localized ANYTHING from AQ since Victorious Boxers Wii.

They didn't do Blue Dragon Plus (Ignition), not AWAY (Majesco), Vampire Rain PS3 hasn't been localized (thank god?), That Mushroom DS Platformer wasn't by them (Also Ignition), what else am I missing?

Strange that XSEED turned down Bubble Bobble Double Shot which was published by Marvelous, Ignition got that one instead.

Wierd that Ignition's been localizing so many of AQ's games, while XSEED partnered up with MMV, even though AQ owns XSEED...

I guess the MMV partnership was a greener path than AQ's, XSEED can't do games from both publishers, MMV's games are enough on XSEED's shoulders as is!

Why didn't MMV Japan just buy XSEED and merge them with MMV USA?

You have to wonder. :/

Imagine a fps horror game where besides having a 1:1 flashlight and all the possibilities that come with it, you slowly move through an empty spooky house picking up objects and manipulating them as if you had them in your hands finding clues and secrets that help you progress. Pick up a picture frame and inspect it as you turn and twiste the Wiimote. At first it doesn't appear special, but as you move it around you hear something inside. You shake the picture frame harder and out pops a key.

Stuff like that.

I can't say that sounds appealing to me, but regardless they could do all that right now without motionplus. And what is a 1:1 flashlight exactly? Shouldn't it be illuminating what I point it at like the Wiimote does right now?

Heads up! I unearthed an old article that strongly hints twoards the game being localized!

Here's an old article from Siliconera dating back to May 2008.

AQ Interactive’s financial report confirms they have eight games scheduled to come out in North America with in this fiscal year. Twelve titles will be released in Japan. The list includes Korg DS-10, Away: Shuffle Dungeon, Blue Dragon Plus, an unnamed Nintendo Wii game and four third party portable games handled by Xseed.

Some of the third party games have to be Marvelous titles. The deal between Xseed and Marvelous is explained in the presentation to be for eight titles. Valhalla Knights 2 is the first game announced in this collaboration. I expect to see Lux Pain and Flower, Sun and Rain within this fiscal year too since both have rumored European releases. Dungeon Maker DS is another possibility since it looks like Rising Star is taking care of it and Xseed has an existing relationship with Global A.

The mystery Wii game is probably something brand new and not the World of Golden Eggs game. Japan will also get an unnamed Wii game (possibly the same as North America, possibly different), three additional unannounced DS games and two PlayStation 2 games within the fiscal year. Oh yeah, Vampire Rain will be re-released as a PlayStation 3 in Japan too.

Interestingly, Vampire Rain: Altered Species is not labeled on the slide despite a press release informing us about a US release sent over earlier this week. Perhaps, this is because it’s considered an overseas license like Docomodake, which is confirmed to appear in Western territories. Docomodake isn’t on the slide as an AQ Interactive published game either.

The only bummer is Anata wo Yurusanai (I Won't Forgive You), the vertical PSP adventure game, is not discussed as an overseas license. At this point chances seem slim that we’re going to see it in English.

It's highly possible that this game is that Wii game, but was delayed.

I'll get ahold of XSEED asap about this.

Paging Mr. Raimi. Mr. Raimi you have a telephone call at the front desk asking you to use magic to somehow get this game published in the US. Magic!
