its not coming to ps4. sony always works like this.gow 2 didnt release on ps3.
I don't think VS XIII will be a PS4 game either, despite the rumours suggesting otherwise.

This backfired terribly for the PS3 in 2007.

The difference was that the PS3 has backwards compatibility whereas the Ps4 doesn't.
Wow Sony is trying really hard to kill the PS4.
fuck this
what do you mean pass? TLG was always a ps3 title.not like they lied about something.I don't think we should just keep giving Sony a pass just because "they always worked like this". They also always had hardware BC at launch before. Things have changed.
Every.
Single.
Time.
Just release both.
Better than releasing it as PS4-exclusive and selling a few copies only. They can theoretically release it on PS3+PS4.
Covers are mockups made by the retailer. Probably differs between shops too. What matters here is that they're taking pre-orders, and their track record is pretty good.
Haha believe me I am staggered by the news over last few days regarding TLG. Well I guess its a good old lesson to shut the fuck up to stop you looking like a liar/fool online![]()
yea like that game will sell systems. Also they have ps4 titles as well and more to come at e3.Wow Sony is trying really hard to kill the PS4.

Maybe it would be better to leave those PS4 HD ports for summer. Good 6+ months of sales on PS3 and then 2nd strike with 1080p60 versions.
I think it's obvious at this point that Sony has sent PS4 out to die since they're not willing to give it any anticipated software and would rather keep on keeping on with PS3. I'd imagine their exit from the hardware space happens within 18 - 24 months.
I'm not disputing that it's "native" to the PS3 or that Sony lied about anything. I'm saying that shouldn't stop them from also allotting resources for a port to PS4. If this had released when it was originally intended to, I wouldn't be saying that. But Sony is in the midst of a generational transition at this point, so I think the expectation should be different for their releases during this time.what do you mean pass? I don't know, Yoshida's comments still make it seem like they moved to PS4 long ago.

What were his comments?
Is the Last Guardian still a PS3 title?
Yoshida: I’m not ready to talk about that … sorry … we’ve broken promises, we are waiting for the right to time reintroduce the Last Guardian. I’m not going to say anything beyond what Ueda-san [lead designer Fumito Ueda] said.
ps3 and ps4 is different architecture so people asking for both need to realize it isn't as easy for sony games as it is for 3rd parties who can just port their pc builds.
With high definition remasters of the series already a proven success on PS3, the potential in a deluxe 1080p60 rendition of the God of War series on PS4 is compelling. Kratos' first two outings scaled up remarkably well to 720p and it's easy to see how well the rich detail in current-gen God of War titles would translate at 1080p to the next generation. But would such a port be easy, bearing in mind how closely Sony Santa Monica tailored its code for the PS3's unique architecture?
"It could be done. The PS4 hardware is such a big leap forward in terms of graphics power compared to the PS3 that we probably wouldn't need to go that far. Most if not all of the SPU techniques we developed and used on PS3 were there to reduce the RSX workload. With the PS4 GPU we probably wouldn't need those techniques."

Not to mention that Sony is going to have be rebuilding PS4's Digital library essentially from scratch. This could be a great digital only release for the PS4 during the launch period.PS4 will have its FPS (Killzone 4), it'll have its racer (Drive Club), it'll have its sports games (Madden)- but I think a game like TLG could have massive shelf appeal for those grabbing the system at launch. It's unique, it represents the kind of ambition that Sony represents, and it's highly anticipated.
Sure, the userbase on PS3 is undeniable- but think how many people could be pushed over the edge to buy a PS4 in the first 3-4 months if TLG is a launch title. That sells systems. That benefits Sony. They get game sales and potentially push hardware sales.
Come October/November/December, hardware sales will be Sony's #1 concentration.
Its a game developed on PS3, no point shoe-horning it onto the PS4 and having people disappointed with the graphics.
I actually like that Sony is the one first-party that has shown support for their old hardware at and after their new systems launch.
Fingers crossed this is true, and far more like SOTC than ICO.
I'm fairly sure I've seen that pre-order boxart this past Christmas at a FNAC store in Porto.
This most likely means nothing
Lol yeah, at this point its looking like I will just replace my broken PS3 instead of jumping on PS4. Sony is not making an attractive case for the PS4 when everything people want is coming to PS3.
If you look at it another way, Sony is still supporting older consoles - which they've always done. God of War II came out on PS2 months after the PS3 release. Same for Okami and a handful of other really remarkable games.
FNAC Portugal has had Last Guardian pre-order boxes for MONTHS now.
My ultimate dream:
- The Last Guardian will be showed at E3 and will be released for PS3 in fall 2013 with a PS4 version annunced as well coming for mid 2014
- At Tokio Game Show 2013 Sony will reveal a New IP coming from Team Ico set exclusively for PS4 this time with Fumito Ueda returned as his "official" Game Designer role inside Sony Japan
I now... i'm a dreamer... but i can't stop to belive...
