Congratulations ND

The worst thing about this. This doesn't surprise me :)

What is particularly satisfying is that outlets like IGN, who typicaly as jounalists love the Last of US but have many types of gamers reading core + casual, inc trying to appease Xbox fans, they could have went more neutral and played it safe.

Well Done ND -keep it up more importantly :)

That would have already happend just look at Bioshock:I and GTA V. If a game doesnt get shit on within 6 months i doubt it will ever happen just look at Uncharted 2.
The Last of Us will get backlash eventually. Games that blend gameplay and an in depth narrative always do.

This doesn't make sense. Picking a game which has over 200 game of the year awards already isn't playing it safe?

I'm hoping for a port once the DLC is here, I bought the season pass and the game, but this is one of very few games I would rebuy, just incredible- especially if they made one or two dodgy textures nicer and made it 1080P 60FPS .
Plus, the PS4 seems to have taken some of the 360s audience (not me being an idiot, but based on people I know plenty have changed sides) and this would be a definite opportunity to sell more copies of the game, especially considering all of the awards it has received.
A little OT, but we'll deserved ND, keep up the good work!

Godawful combat gameplay, but everything else makes up for it then some. Great game.
Never understand this. It's one thing to not like it but to paint it as God-awful? Come on.

The Last of Us' gameplay is excellent, and really matches the game's tone. I know some don't like it because it's a little bit on the realistic side (as opposed to the 'tight' arena shooter style), but this shouldn't be used as a de facto criticism.

Looking back a few years in that blog, the only game to get close to those numbers is Skyrim, which admittedly actually beats out TLOU with 225 awards. The other GOTY-winners were around 100 or less.

To be honest, I'm hugely surprised at GTAV not taking home the overall win here. The sales were literally unparalleled , the metacritc scores are the highest of the year and word of mouth has been great.

Personally TLOU wins for me, but I figured the media as a collective would go with GTAV.

Truly the best game of this decade, the game left me in tears in all six playthroughs!

Congratulations ND, I can't wait for Uncharted PS4!

Started playing this a few days ago, finally.

From the first four hours, I can say this game is truly head and shoulders above anything else I've played on he PS3.
Extremely well deserved, there's no-one out there that can touch Naughty Dog right now.

How many months before people talk about how terrible it is?
I think it took about six months for the venom for Bioshock Infinite or Uncharted 3 to really set in. So should be any time now for TLoU to become the most overrated game ever.

10 posts in and no snarky negative comments? Surely that's a record for a Last of Us thread?
I'm sure it'll win an Academy Award too because it was a film and not a game amirite?!!

Anyway, good for you ND; it's comfortably one of the best games of the generation and all the praise is completely deserved. I think they're the best developers in the world right now.

It's been easily long enough for TLOU. If it was going to happen, it would have happened by now. It's not like there isn't the counter-reaction to its popularity - it just isn't a popular movement.

Congrats to ND, and I'm happy for the fans.

Wish I could see what so many others are seeing though. I'm about half way through and, if you'll excuse the pun, it's just not clicking for me.
