Game is as good as ever. Frame rate doesn’t bother me.
What does bother me is that I feel Link should have a yellow rim on his cap, not green. And the Hylian Sheild should be the brown kind from the original but I’ll be ok.
Music is good. The overworld theme is one of my favourites I had to record this. I prefer the original arrangement but the new one is good as well.

Personally I don’t think they will “fix it”. Maybe a slight improvement but this is going to be the “shit frame rate Zelda” forever.

Unfortunately I have to add my voice to those complaining about performance.
When you leave a building to go back out into the overworld the game really, REALLY, has a noticeable and annoying "drag".
How the hell would they not notice something like this and fix it months ago instead of releasing it in this state.

The frustrating part is that the game CAN run at a locked 30, so why not just give us the option to do that?
I can tell you, with a strong degree of certainty, that putting a "performance mode" in with a locked 30 would be easy as shit. Nintendo not doing that is just some executive smoking a cigar in a Japanese bathhouse clinging to tradition.

Game is enchanting, but I'm biased, prejudiced even. To be frank it would have to chug waaaay harder for me to take my ball and fuck out. It's too much of an absolute joy to see it remade after 26 years. Nintendo waved the nostalgia reborn ticket in my face and I snatched it greedily with a bugman mitt.
The music, oh the music.
Tho I do have to say that I'm not totally taken with its version the 'secret revealed' jingle. Practically ever single other sound that comes out of it is like

the dialog is so cool. "Hey dude, here's this thing, but don't ask me how I know, I'm just a kid." and all the weird "sleeper will awaken" stuff. i love it. this is me right now.

Just completed color dungeon (I'm so glad that they kept that in!). Everything looks so pretty! I love the little details like how they added cracks to the hopping tiles and gave the boss cut marks as you hurt it more.
The blue mail should be very helpful in hero mode. Link's awakening is an easy game, but It is also easy to die early on without any heart drops and double damage. I feel a bit pathetic for falling so early to be honest : p.

two straight day of playing non stop , this is my first ever zelda game that i actually finished (i will finish BoTW someday before the sequel comes out)
that ending hit harder than i ever anticipated, came out of nowhere
9.5/10 would've been a 10 if it weren't for the god awful framerates

this feels like the perfect companion to BOTW. like if you were missing anything from that game, the music, the classic treasure sound cues, the dungeons, etc. you get it all here. together they really get the full range of what made this series great.
also, is hero mode worth it? i like getting my hearts back via enemies like classic Zelda, but i wouldn't mind a challenge. might as well beat this once on normal and then replay on hero...

I'm still really excited about this, and I never played the original. Watching the DF footage it definitely looks like the framerate is certainly noticeable, but not enough to change how I feel about the game overall. If anything I feel like it's one of those situations where it's like, "Welp, that's a shame."
I seriously wonder if they could make some optimization or overall performance improvements. I feel like if they haven't provided a patch yet, they won't. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think I've ever remembered or heard of a first party Nintendo title receiving a patch that improved performance, be it small or large.

Am I the only one who isn't a fan of the style? Don't get me wrong, it's kind of cute, but it kind of feels like you are playing with toys from a toybox. The original had a very surreal and dreamy feeling to it, and I am just sad to see it gone there. Maybe it's just the rose-tinted glasses :/

It does have a function in the game. It is used for the chamber dungeons you create with Dampe, you get extra chambers to use and can unlock a dark link battle in the dungeons you make.

I agree the dreamy feel isn’t the same, but I am liking the art style.
The fact that we’re playing this “new” game in 2019 is the surreal and dreamy part it’s making me feel all weird in a nice way though.
I wasn’t a fan from the previews, but it quickly grew on me while playing.

I'm on the 3rd dungeon and this game is fantastic. I never played the original.
It surpasses ALTTP for me.
ALBW is still my favorite 2D Zelda and I would pay handsomely for it or a sequel to come to the Switch,
