"What is the deal with this guy's stuffed dog?"

I guess it's better than watching Nickelback at the closing ceremonies. Fifteen minutes in and haven't even cracked a smile.

Anyone else too lazy to turn the channel and stuck watching this?

Jeff Zucker is ruining the careers and reputations of three other people I currently like.

I hate this.

It's utter garbage.

Let us look now at Twilight and Da Vinci Code.

Looks like Jerry called in every favor in his address book to populate this with celebrity guests. I suspect it will fail nevertheless; under no other circumstances would the likes of Larry David, Ricky Gervais, Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey slum it on a show like this. NBC really is looking like a mirror of its 30 Rock parody self these days; this is one step above MILF Island. And I'm amazed Jerry came out of network TV retirement for something this squalid.

I don't think anyone would really want to air this...but it's hard to say no to Jerry.

Jerry apparently can't say no to his wife. No way this is his idea.

NBC probably paid him a shitload to get him to do this.

IIRC, Jerry won't really appear all that often. He's just a producer.

And Jerry is NOT want for money.

Watching a Married With Children rerun this morning, they made a joke about NBC playing the Cheers finale for the umpteenth time, which led to this very prophetic joke:

Peg: "What does the Cheers finale have to do with Christmas?"
Al: "What does NBC have to do with television?"

I was in utter disbelief when I saw all these people were going to be on the show in one of the ads. Baldwin and Fey I can sorta understand, something like this may be in their contracts or whatever, but Larry David? Really? Is this what you had to agree to to get Jerry on Curb?

Yeah, but who is he going to get lined up in week 7 or so? I am thinking Alicia Silverstone, Snooki, and...one of the less famous Baldwins...William.

Pretty much exactly this.

This looks like a show that would've been shitcanned by any other producer's hands. Atleast it'll only be around for a few weeks before NBC has to break the news to Jerry that this was a horrible idea and they're gonna can it.

But hey, atleast Conan isn't on TV and this is, right NBC?

They can't can it till fall. Think of the other great NBC programming they have to fill the void of this shit crater.

NBC cut the close ceremonies to broadcast this garbage.

I suggest you all boycott the show and this thread (no offense to OP). You all should be boycotting NBC already.

Alec Baldwin making fun of people's marriages....
You can hear the celestial laughter. :lol :lol

I love Craig T and Marguerite Moreau but that Parenthood show looks to me like a reactionary stab at trying to be Modern Family. Hope that I'm wrong.

Fuck Zucker though, yes. Bully, bully!

They have to keep it on air until then?

...My God.

This was really bad tonight. The commercial with Madonna standing up triumphantly after putting down Larry David made me want to puke. Larry better donkey punch her in the real episode or I'll be pissed off.

Matt Mitovich, the editor-at-large for Comcast’s Fancast, even suggested the following: “One day, when Nielsen finds a way to monitor Twitter snark, shows like Marriage Ref will get canceled WHILE IN PROGRESS.”

I didn't watch the show since none of the commercials I saw even bothered to tell me what the hell it was, but that comment from the 1st link made me :lol .

Well, I was thinking they're gonna have a married couple every week with Jerry telling them what's they're doing wrong and how to fix it.
Something like Dr. Phil, only funny.

I guess I gotta watch it to see what's up

Hold on a sec, This isn't the same Zucker of the famous Zucker-Abrahms-Zucker comedy trio or is this just a coincidence that he has the same last name?

The jokes in the commercials were all really bad. Considering they're probably picking the best parts, I can't imagine how bad the show itself is.

Didn't watch the show last night, but if it's really that bad...
That's a deal-breaker.

The ads for it looked horrible to I didn't bother. I can't stand this type of show, can't stand reality shows in general (except for food network).

NBC sucks. It's a fact now. I only watch abc and one show on cbs now.

NBC still has quality shows; their comedy lineup is by faaaaaaaar the best, imho, and they have Chuck on Monday nights...

What comedy? The office is not funny anymore. 30 Rock I used to be a fan of but one day I just couldn't be bothered to stay up for it and I haven't watched it since, it's just not that funny.

I still don't know when they air Chuck or what it's about. I've seen a thread here about it, that's all I've ever seen of the show.

I laugh out loud watching shows like modern family, in the middle and how I met your mother. I don't remember the last time I laughed watching NBC.

I have never seen so many predispositions in one thread. At least in the gaming forum, even the shit gets its advocates.
