I don't get the appeal of these videos, but these people do have a fanbase. This isn't competitive eating, so it's all for the views?

I like ASMR to chill to and even I find the food eating thing weird as fuck tbh. Cooking, cooking I can appreciate (you can learn some useful stuff watching it as well like at channels like Epicurious ) but people just eating food (and generally insane amounts of it..) Nah.

Also gotta say those first few posts made me think of my favourite internet Corgis
