im all for being able to play on as many platforms as possible but personally i will not be buying it on Switch. the screen is too small and the controllers are too awkward. i will be playing it on PC.

So are these the back compatible versions on Xbox or all new? I could go for a 1000 point challenge in Doom

Theres never enought Doom.

I'm in...again.

Hang on...wheres Doom 64? Heresy I say!
Like I said before, while it would make a ton of sense to have Doom64 on the Switch (one of the best N64 games out there) it was developed AND published by Midway, not ID (correcting my previous statement). ID just gave out the license to DOOM, they had no part in making it and probably don't have any of the original code to make ports of it.

The recent PC remake (Doom 64 EX) was done by fans via Doom3D engine and tried to recreate it as close as possible, but is not the original source code.

To quote myself

EEW WTF MAN
Is this gonna happen in all consoles?

This sounds pretty lame regardless.

I don't think I have a Bethesda account, it sucks to be bothered to create one to play SP.

You'll probably need one for Doom Eternal anyway so why not make one already? :lollipop_grinning: :lollipop_grinning: :lollipop_grinning:
I play Bethesda (singleplayer) games on the PS4 and I don't remember any of them not allowing me to play without it.

Hopefully this is a one time thing, not a requirement for the future. Afaik Wolf Youngblood asks for the account, but it's still playable without singing in.

I think it uses you psn/Xbl account to sign into Bethesda Net.

This is what I’m seeing in flight mode. No matter what I do can’t get the game going. I’m going to just sign up an account and hope that works

$10 for Doom 3 is incredible. I do hope it gets some nice Pro/X1X enhancements.

This is awesome, but why in the goddamn fuck can't Bethesda do the same for Fallout 3/New Vegas?

that is shitty as hell holy shit man
I signed up, logged in and can now play even in offline mode.

They made me sign up to the email list or I couldn’t continue and now I can play....

A little bit bizarre that you can t even play the game you just bought before signing up for a ....... o right .. they just made me sigh up for a Bethesda account so I could play doom on my switch. And I paid for it. Now I have a Bethesda account.

But I can play now so it’s all good.

So it's never gonna happen? That sucks
Never say never. ID did supervise Doom64, so there is a tiny chance they may have the source code somewhere (though if that were the case there would have been a PC version by now). On a plus side, if you've hacked your Nintendo DS, Doom64 EX runs on it too, so you can still play it via a handheld.

some fat hands posted this

After that other post I suggested my brother to check the info in the download page.

It seems that having a Bethesda account is also necessary to play on PS4.

I take what I said in this thread. I'm out of those games. How can they lose easy money is beyond me.

Final Doom is not necessary an 'expansion', but you got me. Never heard of Final Doom for 360. I still prefer Final Doom than Ultimate Doom.
Err it had Doom 1 & 2, probly Ultimate versions - and the TNT and Plutonia expansion thingies. Sorry I forget the names but it had that. - Actually scrap that it only had Doom 1 and 2 ,i i think im remembering wrong . I play the ps3 one.

PS3 had the better one with Doom 2 Master Levels, Hell on Earth etc - that was online and 4p co-op/dm, so so goood to this day

I have to say I am pleasantly surprised by the restraint showed here.

I am sure they could of tried to charge 30-60$ for Doom 3 by calling it a reMARStered (heheh) version.

There was nothing really stopping them from pulling a Capcom on switch owners.
