First, I searched, so sorry if this is old news, but... This thread here at Something Awful is worth it!

A friend sent me a link to it telling me it's a funny dark 'fan fiction' of Animal Crossing, so I didn't bother reading it, for some reason, today I did...

A work of genius! He's managed to weave a story about the 'evil truth' as told from AC Villager, but explaining it makes it sound shit. Juz Do it.

edit: bit more info.. It's all told with screenshots from the game, not fan art, the poster was just made afterwards by someone who liked the story. The way he's weaved his narrative into the screens and referencing all actual game scenarios whilst making a story about and around is pretty great.

I read the entire thing ealier today. It looks like they finished the thing over a matter of about 2 years. At the end it gets really dark, and they even have animation and voiceover for the ending. Quite a unique take on Animal Crossing.

Yeah, that got me too! Some amazing in game shots when coupled with the words too. The Map, for instance.

It was pretty sweet while he was still using screenshots--about the time he said he couldn't do that anymore and had to resort to art, it got decidedly meh.

Of course, I have no idea how you could wrap a story like that sticking to the game...

The way he ties it in with the game really is clever, and the story works so well because everyone whose played AC can relate to it really well. This is probably the best "make a story using a video game" I've ever seen. Really worth the read.

Well that'd explain it, boss. I don't go to SA unless I'm linked to a thread there, and I briefly looked in the FAQ but didn't see any mention of banned words. Good to know the writer's not insane.
