Stringer Bell had most of the best ones. I've always loved the line about taking notes... :lol

It's coming up to the time when I re-watch all of The Wire, methinks. :)

"STRING! LOOK AT ME! WHERE THE FUCK IS WALLACE?!"

I remember the first time I saw that....tears welled up in my eye

Oh and how can I forgot:

"That motherfucker got more bodies on him then a Chinese cemetery."

There's that scene in the first season were the only word muttered is 'fuck' - and it's minutes long. That's the one.

I've only seen the first season and thought it was the bestest television I'd ever seen don't shoot me

Saw this awhile ago, and yes, it's just awesome. Probably missing a 100 more good ones.

Is you taking notes a criminal fucking conspiracy!? What the fuck is you thinking. *tears up notes* Absolutely love how heated String got at that. :lol

I have the box set still need to finish the last season. Seeing this video has me excited to watch it all from the beginning again.

"My name is my name."

Marlo is such a well-timed character -- his one-dimensionality was a refreshing change of pace at the right time.

The video missed:

"That's what you call one of them good problems."

No love for Gus, Michael or Dukie? Not enough from Bunny either, I'm sure he had some nice quotes.

I liked Gus 'What kind of people stand around watching a fire' scene

I feel like telling D that Wallace is in witness protection in Texas now, that's what I tell myself anyway. McNulty faked his death and drove Wallace out of the city himself, obviously.

That scene is amazing.

That's the longest thing I've ever watched on Youtube. And I'm glad I did.

Say what you want about Omar... but Barksdale was a cool mofo too.

:(

They cut it short too!

Definitely not enough Sgt. Landsman

Good call. The only one I was waiting for, and maybe not expecting, was Omar in court but it came. Don't think there was any Landsman at all though...?

@Scythian Empire. Do it. You won't be disappointed. And I'm not one to rave unnecessarily (I hope).

I like this final exchange in Season 5:

Marla Daniels: The truth that doesn't bend, breaks, Cedric.
Lt. Cedric Daniels: Bend too far, and you're already broken.

There's just no way you can hate him on the show..

Not taking anything away from the character but in 5 seasons of complicated characters he was easy to work out. And I mean that in a totally good way.

Also, not a fan at all of Ziggy (ugh) but he wasn't in there either. Hmm.

"Bullshit, boy. No victim? I just came from Tosha's people, remember? All this death, you don't think it ripples out? You don't even know what the fuck I'm talking about. I was a few years ahead of you at Edmondson, but I know you remember the neighborhood, how it was. We had some bad boys, for real. Wasn't about guns so much as knowing what to do with your hands. Those boys could really rack. My father had me on the straight, but like any young man, I wanted to be hard too, so I'd turn up at all the house parties where the tough boys hung. Shit, they knew I wasn't one of them. Them hard cases would come up to me and say, "Go home, schoolboy, you don't belong here." Didn't realize at the time what they were doing for me. As rough as that neighborhood could be, we had us a community. Nobody, no victim, who didn't matter. And now all we got is bodies, and predatory motherfuckers like you. And out where that girl fell, I saw kids acting like Omar, calling you by name, glorifying your ass. Makes me sick, motherfucker, how far we done fell."

Dukie: You remember that one day, summer past? When we threw them piss balloons at them Terrace boys? You remember, just before school started up again? You know, I took a beatdown from them boys. I don't even throw a shadow on it. That was a day. Y'all bought me ice cream off the truck. You remember, Mike?

Michael: ......... I don't.

"Is you taking notes, on a criminal fucking conspiracy?"

"Don't seem possible. That's some Spiderman shit there."

But the best part was when Wee-bey was talking to his wife when in prison to let his son go

Ah shit, that was kinda embarrassing. Noted

Someone should go ahead and make another video w/ 100 more. Was expecting the first great quote: "Got to, it's America, man..."

A truly amazing scene.

I had no idea Wallace also said the "This is me" thing, pretty depressing considering what happened to the people that said that.

My friend posted this on my facebook a week ago, such a great clip. I restarted watching the wire again this past week as well. I love this series.

My favorite scene in the entirety of the show and what came to mind when I saw this title. Incredible.

Love the Snoop quote in post 3 or 4 too. :lol Great scene.

"The game is rigged, but you cannot lose if you do not play." -Marla Daniels

"This sentimental motherfucker just cost us money." -after Cheese is killed, I don't remember who.

Stringer Bell's speech about the 40-degree day is probably the most hilarious characterization of mediocrity in the history of television.

"Don't nobody give a fuck about 40, nobody remember 40, and y'all niggas been giving me to many 40 degree days what the FUCK."
