How do you combo enemies like that in the air? Is the rocket and tower available in the demo or just the full version?

pressing attack very quickly after a jump performs a rising launcher.

he's just using that and the regular sword chain to juggle in that image

and no tomb and rocket are not in the demo.I wish they were. Tomb seems really really useful in that it drops you back to the ground quickly after an air combo. Felt the game needed something like that after playing with air combos in the demo Was disappointed spring didn't do that until I found out about tomb.

I think tomb is really useful and ever since i made the upgrade, i used it everytime, but the rocket is useless as all hell. Is just there for you to spend more of your energy.

Ukemi is weird. The game says it only activates if you press jump just before taking damage but I've found it works in 2 instances (tested on a spinning black treasure box):

1. Ukemi activates when you press jump just before taking damage;
2. Ukemi activates when you've taken damage and press jump as your leader touches the ground.

So if you fuck up Ukemi in the 1st instance you still get a 2nd chance to activate it and it seems that damage recovered is identical in both instances.

No. Till now, the only thing that mattered against them that i saw was the hammer. Any other attack is nullified.
There must be some other way, they have a weak spot under their belly and you can raise them with the whip, but only for a really short time.

Only way I can deal with those for the moment is to get the biggest hammer I can and combo them.

Well hello there, Wonder Pink! *drools*

I died a lot in OP 2a.. this game is kicking my ass on normal. well, at least I got enough cash to buy speed liner skill now! :D

Boss spoiler question:
Tip on how to tackle prince Vorkken? are certain unites particularly good against his unites, or do i just have to not get hit?

Quoted myself like a boss for the new page since nobody bothered to answer yesterday :p

Operation 005 boss fights was...eh. Good, cute gimmick, but probably my least favourite of the lot so far, because (don't read if you're yet to play, it's worth discovering first hand)
majority of it falls back on a Punch-Out gimmick and not the actual game I want to play
. Not what I really want from boss fights. Operation 3 reigns supreme.

But it was really well done, in a way I liked it for the reason you didn't liked it.

Did anyone else have a hard time spotting the rockets in the
rail shooting part in 2a? that part was really blurry and hectic.

That's why I figure some people will love it. It does what it does very well, and if that ticks your boxes then you'll love it. I liked it, but it didn't capture what I like most about these kinds of games, and what needs to be done for a boss fight (or level) to really blow me away.

so much love in this thread.

and so much tips.

I'm very glad. the thread has moved from sales predictions to all of us being kids awed at PG's bag full of tricks.

Looking back on the game as a whole, I'd say that itch has been scratched enough for me to appreciate the operation 5 boss. Hopefully it'll be the same for you, good boss fight in your preferred style to come.
so much love in this game.

This is a special game.

About this turtle enemy... isn't it possible to flip it over by disabling it with a Climb Attack and then drawing a circle around it for a grab and throw?

Platinum unleashed their full creative force on The Wonderful 101, holding nothing back, and the lunatic density of its layered gameplay systems sometimes threatens to overwhelm. Thankfully raucous fun factor and Kamiya's trademark tight design conspire to create a modern classic on Wii U, so long as you're willing to master it.

Get close to them, wait till they're about to stomp you, block it, use wonder punch and they will flip over. Then you can go crazy with whatever you like.

Number 22 in the UK charts. Not great, given how few copies you need to sell these days to get to that position, but could have been worse in a busy week. I don't hold out much hope for digital sales, either - last I saw it was only the 6th best-selling game of the week on the eShop (Pokémon Rumble U was number one).

No. You have to parry their stomp, flip them over with the unite hand, then it's possible to throw them with unite whip.
Only hammer can break through the shell, not even
wonderful forever penetrates it

N° 14 in the individual chart, btw, can't wait to receive my copy...

There probably isn't enough antonio_banderas.gifs out there to honor the whole ending sequence. At first I was expecting disappointment,
when they've pulled the floating head with breakable hands - boss trope
, but then it kept going...

I didn't unlock any of the secret characters though :( And I've already replayed several stages beforehand, so I'm really clueless when it comes to all the achievements that are still hidden.

Do NOT read if you haven't finished the game! I mean it!

I was laughing so hard at the final trigger sequence i was sitting here in tears while hammering the gamepad. I am usually bad at this so was just giving everything like in all the trigger sequences ... and then i failed! The earth is no more! Ok, this time they mean it, just give everything! I was at my limit when the view switched to the cockpit. This moment alone makes it a masterpiece for me.

Just wait till you unlock the sound gallery, you'll be spending more time in there than the actual game lol

EV35 Safe and Sound

All day, every day.

Also I just heard that originally the game had similar shading to viewtiful joe but got changed to what we have today, a lot of the concept art being in viewtiful joe style makes a lot more sense now.

My game once froze in Op 6 (alongside the noise of death). And today some crab enemy had infinite health...

On a completely unrelated note: Fuck turtles. Annoying until the very end (and beyond)

did you buy the treasure sensor?
it actually locates secrets that are almost impossible to find without it.
it doesn't locate the usual ones. i.e,
making a unite line into doors/windows/pipes or places to circle.

Unite Hand for the fire attacks, then a massive hammer takes them down in about three hits. Maybe throw a bomb in there to slow them down a bit.

Have anyone of you who has finished the game found out if there is some kind of online scoreboard in the game? I haven't noticed anything myself, but I remember that the scoreboards only popped up after finishing Pikmin 3

I think that secret character requires 100% in the game. Pure plat on every mission etc.

It will probably take a while before someone unlocks it.
Nah not every character but the best one, everyone wants to have. I'm 2 bottlecaps away from at least 3-4 chars atm.

Bayonetta unlocks after getting all 101 achievements for sure.

Anyone know how to get through that waterfall at the beginning of operation 4-B, I can see civilians in there but can't find a way through it
