I called some girl rude because she completely ignored my good friend Marq and thanked Darkyoshi instead even though he provided false information. Then Darkyoshi accused me of "reporting" him when in actuality he was the one going through my post history and reporting my posts. He also reported my profile because my profile comment said: "Coke grabber, gaming enthusiast, and father of 20." Supposedly, the word "Coke" is considered offensive even though it's almost always affiliated with the soft drink. Using the word cocaine in that context would make no sense, and yet... only on Nintendo®.

Figure A:

Darkyoshi reports a post of mine from July 7th, 2013 and it gets deleted for containing "inappropriate or harmful content." They will not let me contest the moderation.

Figure B:

Darkyoshi reports a post of mine from November 23rd, 2013 and it gets hidden for containing "strategic information or other spoiler content." They will not let me contest the moderation.

Figure C:

Darkyoshi reports a post of mine from November January 5th, 2015 and it gets hidden for containing "strategic information or other spoiler content." They will not let me contest the moderation.

Figure D:

In short, because I called this girl rude for ignoring Marq, Darkyoshi decided to go through my post history, report every post, harass me, and accuse N5 members of "bullying" him, and the worst part is, I have no way of contesting these post deletions. Wonderful. If it's getting to the point where you're not even allowed to mention a soft drink on Miiverse, I hope Nintendo gets rid of this and replaces it with something else for the NX.

It says right there to contact them, so I assume there's a way to talk to them. Contact them and expose the situation?

I'm convinced that the Miiverse mods are actually Nintendo interns who get paid 4 dollars an hour, because they don't listen to any kind of feedback. Trust me, I've tried!

When I was in Portugal recently I was advised not to ask for a Coke, as it means cocaine and not coca cola there in casual usage.

Well, that sounds frustrating/aggravating. I have to admit, I've never done anything in the Miiverse. It's kind of crazy, but I haven't. Not on Wii, or Wii U. Or any of their handheld devices. But yeah. I'm going to assume this isn't something most people deal with it. Sorry OP, you should be able to report that kind of harassment and get it resolved. I hope you can?

In many countries this is the case.
You are better off with "cola", at least that is my experience pretty much everywhere in Europe.

I dont understand anything in the op.

Some guy is going around marking all of his posts on miiverse for moderation because of an e-fight, and nintendo's moderators are enabling the troll with some really dumb moderations that probably shouldn't have happened.

Cola isn't a brand. Coke is. Cola is just a type of drink, Coke is a specific flavor.

You should probably just use the whole name. Coca-cola.

Have you tried it in this case? Can't hurt to try.

Yeah, we usually say "Cola", not "Coca", but I'm sure no one would call the cops on you lol

Why is it such a big deal that someone didn't say thank you on the internet? You're likely arguing with kids.

Miiverse can be amazing, and it always has for me because I only ever post images I make, but I can imagine it's awful if you want to actually discuss anything.

Wait, so all that because you called a girl rude for ignoring your friend? Is this 5th grade?

Even on here, we all get ignored on a daily basis, and if I started calling people rude because of that, I might as well just ask a mod to ban me.

And in the case of censorship, while it sucks since there are some words that for some people are part of their daily vocabulary, this same words don't mean the same un other countries. And since is a "kid friendly community" for worldwide access, they need to be quite strict with some of the censoring.

If anything, for Miiverse 2.0 they should create some "adult forums", that allow for more words.

This thread reminds me of how yosp has been banned from miiverse twice for posting stuff about Playstation.

They're soccer moms who make minimum wage sitting at a computer all day figuring out if something is offensive or not.

One time I drew the malformed Goofy known as 'Gooby' and it was taken down, presumably because they thought it was a penis?

Well, my friend typed up several paragraphs that were blatantly ignored potentially due to the skin color of his Mii. Legit racism actually happens on Miiverse. From what I've experienced, people with female Miis usually get more "yeahs", while people with black Miis get less attention.

And about that "kids" part...

When I was in Portugal recently I was advised not to ask for a Coke, as it means cocaine and not coca cola there in casual usage.

That's why context matters. "Grab a cocaine" is grammatically incorrect regardless of where you live. I currently have 1809 followers on Miiverse and a post from over two years ago was deleted because I used the word "Coke." The Miiverse mods are basically enabling a troll.

Why can't we make private communities? Not everyone is a child, and not everyone wants to deal with others on Miiverse. I want a damn Nephaf community so I can actually see some worthwhile and fun post without stupid censorship.

Have you considered this is not something you should post on GAF, but go directly to the police with?

People know who you are from NeoGAF and are reporting the shit out of you to make your Miiverse life hell.

And Nintendo know who you are as well so they're seizing the opportunity.

What the hell is a "coke grabber" (regardless of the meaning of coke)?

An inside joke between my friends and I dating back to 2005. In other words, harmless fun. But not harmless enough for Miivese, I'm afraid.

It reminds me of when I drew a picture of interlocking male symbols and it got deleted for being sexually explicit.
