The worst dialogue/scripts, cutscene, or scenario you’ve experienced in a game?

Bro it's a different time. TLOU came out like 6 years ago. Lots of things have changed since then. Now you have to shove your ugly obnoxious millenial lesbians in everybodys face tonguefucking each others mouth holes and make a big deal about it. If this game came out years ago it would be infinitely less cringe. If TLOU came out today Bill would be shown fucking his bf while the camera shows his asshole like they do in "straight" porn. Also ND are now a bunch of fartsniffers.

>tfw two intelligence too understand crpg's
I understand them but i find them boring, i dislike RTWP.
Divinity OS 1&2 are the best the CRPG genre has to offer and it's BECAUSE they're Turn Based.
I'm more of JRPG guy and will always prefer them to WRPGs.

Well, I know this won't be popular but for me it is MGS5. actually all kojima games I played so far. Dialogs and the scenario is just so ridiculous.
And than we have the FFX laughing scene …

Dear Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrddd......
My brain actively protected me from ever remembering that game´s terrible cutscenes. You just invoked some serious PTSD.

LYM - FRIGGIN´ - LE will haunt my dreams again ....
My ears...

I can’t believe these scripts even get to this stage.

And Nomura is in charge of extending the story of FF7 to the point where the 5-6 hours long Midgar part is now supposedly going to be 30..... it's going to be so bad.
At least the gameply, visuals and music are shaping up really nicely.

This should be shenmue the thread. from every npc to every side character, every line or dialogue is absolutely cringe if not ear splitting to hear. but there is others i can think of, such as lyme or whatever from star ocean 4 the last hope.

Assassin's Creed Rogue features the worst Irish accent ever. Horrifically bad.

NFS 2015, it was so bad that I dropped the game after two hours and lost complete interest in a franchise that I always loved.

Sin and Punishment for the N64 is the first thing that comes to mind. "Friends don't steal each other's blood!"

Mortal Kombat Deception's konquest story mode. Great game but horrible voice acting.

And of course you can't talk about bad voice acting without bringing up the original Resident Evil. The Director's Cut was even worse.

As much as I enjoyed the game, the dialog in Final Fantasy 14 (the relaunched, fixed version, I never played the first version) was:

1. Read / acted out poorly and awkwardly. Weird pauses, for example
2. Was often earnest and sentimental to a fault about extremely mundane things
3. Sometimes made no fucking sense, as if they translated it incorrectly or forgot to add previous lines in the conversation

The other would be Destiny and Destiny 2, which I view very much as just two sides of the same coin. Because they had butchered the game and story just prior to release, the dialog often made no fucking sense. It cited things as if the player should be familiar with the topic, but rather came out as gibberish and bad technobabble. And good lord Peter Dinklage plainly just earning a paycheck. The same problem remained in Destiny 2, only now it felt like the main narrators were either phoning it in like Dinklage Did or were chewing up the scenery (as much as someone can in a video game).

Every Gears game after the original. The first game reveled in camp and it was all the better for it. For some reason, every game after had an obligatory “please be sad” scene. These games are about chainsawing underground bugmen in half with a machine gun, while wearing a comical amount of armor (but no helmet of course). How do you expect me to take this shit serious...
