- Apparently the GC and Wii versions of Zelda TP are being reviewed seperately... but neither have perfect scores. Mainly because
Famitsu finds the game too hard!

-------

- Blue Dragon is now officially a series, in an interview Sakaguchi reveals a sequel is planned. There are two different design plans for the Xbox360.
- There will be free downloadable content for Blue Dragon.
- The game itself is about 40-50 hours long.
- ASH is 50% complete.
- Mistwalker has 3 other titles in production at the moment.
- It appears that out of the 3 Mistwalker games in development, one of them in particular is a joint production with a developer in the West (of Japan that is) and if for either the Wii or the DS. That implies that it might be a Nintendo joint production.
- Blue Dragon is a 3 DVD game.

-------

Grim Grimore - PS2 - Nippon Ichi Software - 2007 - Magical SLG

Collaboration with Vanillaware, the developers of Princess Crown. Directed by Seiya Kamiya, music by Hitoshi Sakimoto.

Characters move and animate like a Flash video, much like the style of Princess Crown. Soul Cradle characters also appear in the game.

-------

Actually, that's interesting about the Zelda reviews. I didn't think there'd be that much of a difference between 'em.

That must mean Sakaguchi's confident about Blue Dragon being successful...

Those are some ambitious steps for Mistwalker. Their maiden voyage isn't even complete yet. Not to say this isn't good news, because I have faith in Sakaguchi.

More like MS is confident about Blue Dragon. Mistwalker wouldn't be planning anything if MS didn't agree to fund it. :)

VOOK

We don't know why he keeps buying PAL, either.

Oh... setting aside Famitsu's review failure, the Mistwalker news is all 100% awesome.

SMELLS LIKE NEW MARIO RPG SERIES TO ME

Damn, lots of good Mistwalker news in this issue. ASH better be damn good if it's taken this long and it's only at 50%. :p

I'm assuming Blue Dragon 2 is one of the 3 other Mistwalker games in development. And another one is supposedly for Wii or DS (DS pls). I wonder what the other one will be? Maybe we'll finally see some Mistwalker love on a Sony system.

I second the question, how big is Mistwalker?

I personally suspect a Blue Dragon game will come out for DS sometime in the future. Not sure what form it will take, though.
Also, from the way the blog is written, it sounds like Zelda got 38/40 (both of them).

35/40

I seriously hope at least one of the TP's gets a 39. You know, because Okami got 39. And you don't want to suggest things.

Free downloadable content for the win.

Let's hope they pass that along for the North American version. MS is trying desperately to win over Japanese gamers, so free downloadable content over there sounds plausible. North America? Not usually.

Ah, neat. Can't wait for vids and scans.

I approve of this idea.

Awesome news about Blue Dragon, too; not like I have a shortage of games to play through right now or anything, but goddamn does this game look tasty.

I'm pretty sure Microsoft owns all the rights to BD...

Nope. It's kinda like Gears of War. Mistwalker owns the IP, MS is funding and publishing the games that they choose to. Since MS has no portable, a DS spinoff is VERY possible. Hell MS *owns* Rare, and even Rare releases games on Nintendo portables. :p

Can I get a **** yes?

I might just buy blue dragon out of sheer principle though, gotta support devs who go that extra mile to bring content for free.

Sorry that I'm not familiar with Xbox setup. Isn't it if you want the downloadable content, you must have the hdd attached? If so, why does MS bundle Blue Dragon with Core pack?...

Good point. Maybe Microsoft's trying to push HDD sales on top of those Core bundle packs? I don't know. But as nice as those free downloads sound, I just can't see them being free for North America. Besides game demos and the occasional picture packs on Marketplace, nothing else is free on Live.

I can even see MS saying that the downloads are "free", but only to Gold members.

Well considering its a 40-50 hour game thats not really that big of a problem. Gabe Newell would approve.
