* Doesn't really take advantage of the Wii remote, though this kinda makes sense.
* Good replay value. Gardening mode makes for an enjoyable apres-jeux.
* Controls are unique. A little TOO unique.
* Bosses tend to have the enjoyable gimmick of calling out their mooks for battles
* You have to restart the stage if you die.
* Human missions are a change of pace, but kinda distracting.
* Heartlifting good-feeling stuff just like the previous game.
* Can't skip realtime cutscenes.
* As a fan of the previous game, some of the new mission types may as well have not been added
Doesn't sound bad unless you're using the wiimote pointer controls.

Controls are too unique...what does that mean exactly?

I predict this game to get destroyed by western reviewers.

I don't even know SRW. But it looked similar to "Gespenst", which is German for "ghost". Well, a special kind of ghost, but I guess that's not really interesting... ;)
Yeah it's Gespenst.

The Gespenst series of mechs are the basic grunt units.

Why do people even post Famitsu reviews?

For that matter why do people even care about them
Because they're usually the first for Japanese games, that's about it.

DECK'ARD

The Amiga Brotherhood
If Phantasy Star Portable had been PSO and online I think it would have sold pretty well, even to people who got burnt by PSU.

Oh well, it's Sega.

Chocobo review
* Balanced more like an RPG than a Roguelike
* Difficulty doesn't feel as much like you have to force your way deeper.
* Not as much of a "fixed puzzle" feel
* Item synth is simple
* One-shot dungeons with level limitations.
* Nicely-unraveling scenario.
* Unlike usual, it's a smooth and easy play all the way through.
* Training different jobs is fun.
* The music is arranges of classic FF tunes. If you're a fan of those, it makes a good motivation to go deeper.

We Love Golf review
* Playtime: 16 hours to clear the main tournament, 40-50 to do everything
* Lower difficulties easy enough for anyone to get into.
* Remote controlls feel like swinging a golf club should.
* Good tempo, convenient point of view; near-stressless to play.
* Easy putting compared to most.
* Character design has a pleasant Showa feel.
* Forgiving swing mechanism makes play more fun and well-paced.
* Lots of modes, lots to do.

Where's the Wii Fit review? Maybe Famtisu are going to wait a month and use their resulted weight loss/gain as part of the review.

~Devil Trigger~

In favor of setting Muslim women on fire
Devil May Cry 4 (PS3&360/Capcom/08-1-31)
* Details on the the hellish device that infinitely spawns exploding swords, "Unlimited Sword Lucifer".
"Its swords can be used as weapons or as traps that hang in the air."
* Details on a new one-winged demon swordsman enemy.
"A demon swordsman with a single beautiful wing. His left hand forged into a shield, he's effective at riposting attacks.

OMG, scans videos...something, PLEASE!!!!

Persona 3 was -last- year. :lol :lol

Oh, according to the guy posting the info, I was right; it's apparently -supposed- to be "For Answer" and not "4: Answer".
Imas said:
for Answer
AC4 launched around the same time the consoles did, so it couldn't really have that deep of a single-player mode. Because of this, the new game's intended to have more of a plot, and eventual resolution; thus, the name became "for Answer".

Your question will be answered when you see in the pros and cons listing...

- Wiimote not responsive. :D

Exactly! :D The game came out in the future for America and then went back to the past for Japan, making it qualify for this year's GOTY. I'm sorry, but Persona 3 is just outdated... from the future. :D

SC: Legends review
* Playtime: Quest Mode will take around 20 hours, Party Mode around 30.
* Dungeons make the series a bit more deeply interesting than before.
* Tough to waggle this hard this long in so many directions.
* You can take cover, but it's easy to accidentally attack and pop out.
* Bosses are tough; if you don't plan ahead, you won't even be able to touch them.
* Not enough weapons and gear.
* Hard to walk straight while waggling the nunchuck; otherwise, not that bad
* More fun if you focus on dodging and technical fighting.
* Camera and lock-on are so-so.
* There's only one one-player mode. This kinda sucks.

Phantasy Star Portable (PSP/Sega/2008)
* They're self-impressed with it abbreviating to PSP.
* Based on PSU and its expansion, with added missions and story.
* Multi-mode, with up to 4 player coop.
* Development by Alpha System.

I don't care if I get hate for this... one of the crazy idea games I've wanted to see for a long time was Phantasy Star Online for PSP.

Of course, the important point there is ONLINE, not Universe. Still, though... hmm. This could be interesting.

Edit: Wait, what? Local multiplayer online? Okay, any interest I could have possibly had is now gone. Of course, I've no idea why I actually expected Sega to make this be online playable.

Just kidding. Don't get too defensive, please.

WTF @ NiGHTs. Not much use of the Wiimote? Then why bother putting it on Wii (sales, yeah yeah whatever). I'm really disappointed with the lack of creativity (or laziness) here.

Phantasy Star PSP is maybe a year or two late, but I guess better late than never. MonHan already took the crown so we'll see how much Phantasy Star can do sales-wise.

Armored Core: For Answer....is that title For Realz? Coop sounds delicious though.

Hmmm...I'm not sure what to make of this.... I'll say tentatively awesome. I have a lot of faith in Camelot.

* Controls are unique. A little TOO unique.
"Look! It's Raph!"

"Yeah, a little TOO Raph."

Kinda strange that Dengeki recommends NMH as a sandbox game when it seems the most boring part of the game is the open-world aspect (per Nintendo Power and IGN).

At least it seems like Chocobo (and We Love Golf) might be promising.

Kingdom Under Fire review
* Playtime is above 10 hours.
* Kinda archaic as an action RPG.
* A loot grind, but an enjoyable loot grind.
* At its best when played online coop, but there's nothing to cooperate doing except the standard grind.
* Pretty big map.
* Can get monotonous, especially when grinding.
* Taking out a bunch of enemies gives you that nice badass feeling.
* Camera control is kind of worrying.
* Nice variety of customization.
* Item synth is a pain in the ass; you can't do it on items in storage.
* Sleeping? That right there is some MAJOR load time.
* Fun to just pick up and beat on some enemies for a while, regardless of plot point.

That's what I thought. I typically dislike sandbox games so I was actually glad when IGN said the sandbox aspect seems more an afterthought than anything else, and the real focus is on the combat and style. But here's Dengeki contradicting everything I've heard from everywhere else.

You knew Nights was going to suck. No, not because moneyhatting Famitsu said so.

JUST BECAUSE SEGA CAN'T DO ANYTHING RIGHT. Ever. Please accept this, guys. Sega is sitting on a goldmine, and they'd rather rape their own assholes with it than make a game worth a damn.

Yes, they could go the safe route and make a good game. Yes, they could take a riskier route and make a slightly bizarre but fun game. But no, they'd rather take the safe route and still manage to fuck it up.

This is Sega of 2007, mans. Sega 2007 has no talent, anymore. None.

There's no way they could fuck up Samba though. It is literally impossible. You add a few polygons to the original models (or not), slap on some new songs, and *bam* new Samba. They don't even need to change the controls. It's unfuckupable.

Of course Sega can't fuck up Samba -- Gearbox is making it.

Anyways, lawl at loosus's quasi meltdown.

If Sega itself were making it, Samba would be fucked. There would be absolutely no hope whatsoever. They'd do something crazy like forcing the player to wear a blindfold to play the game and actually checking to see if the player is wearing the blindfold via an included camera that increased the cost of the game by $40.

Thank God Sega isn't making it. Sure, they'll probably poke their heads in from time to time to see what they can fuck up, but at least poor Samba has a fighting chance. Gearbox is gonna have to sneak in some fun when Sega isn't looking.

Hopefully the Nights 2 OST isn't too expensive to import.
I'll skip on the game most likely.

Looks like I'll be playing PSU until February(unless Wiifit comes out in Jan.). =/
PSO is by far the tighter and better playing experience, but it's also incredibly dated.
Sucks for me. =/
