This week's JP mag news: Beautiful Katamari Damacy

ten years of FFXIII...wow....

Anyway, all I care about is they better show something of ps3 games at the SE Party...could care less about what they announce right now (unless its a new chrono trigger or xenogears)

peace

Logically, SE is definitely going to take a wait and see approach with PS3, to see if it still has much chance of pulling out of its funk.

Of course, there's the alternative where they could go all out on the PS3 in order to try to revive the flagging sales by themselves, but that would be a far more risky venture, and post- FFTSW Square isn't known for liking risky ventures.

Game Watch have a little summary too:
http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/game/docs/20070420/katamari.htm

From what I can interpet, it says they intentionally wanted to maintain the low poly nature of the PS2 games, and the power of next gen is enabling the game in other areas such as allowing much larger Katamari's.

The Namco website seems to have some other shots too, which Kotaku lack:

Everything looks much, much sharper, and no aliasing as far as I can tell.

I agree, but it still just looks like HD last-gen Katamari.

I wish they rounded everything off like Keita Takahashi's drawings.

Also, unrelated but awesome

If it means that you can go from this

to

point_img01.jpg

without intermediate loading, that's a better result than improved graphics IMO.

...Im pretty sure FFXIII and FFVXIII are ps3...also Im pretty sure the ps3 is not going to do nearly as bad as the some bipolars on here (not aimed at you at all) think...

Yeah, one of the screens on Kotaku shows you at 7m with a target of 10,000km... insane.

Well, at least it looks colorful...it wouldn't really hurt them to put higher screens, would it? -.-

Seems Sony also opened Boku no Natsuyasumi 3 and Ape Escape: SaruSaru Daisakusen websites but not really much media.
