I think those are just normal Nyavatar clothing that was new for the month, not cosplay games, but that newscast was a couple days ago, so I may be wrong.

The lollerskates are also just items you can use in your garden, so I'm not sure how much fun you'd get out of those.

I've been buying them, but it's been a really long time since I've touched any of them... I'll give them a try again next week. The one I can remember the best is the slug maze one.

Update coming in the middle of the month, so probably this Thursday.

I'm pretty sure Toro is the de facto Sony mascot in Japan. The fact that these games and characters are very Japan-centric make it unlikely for them to be localised, so there's not much chance of they being the "Sony cats" outside of Asia.

There are actually quite a few changes to the menu.

Has anybody been able to log into Youtube? It keeps telling me incorrect username/password. I'll have to try again later >_<

What codec are the videos saved to the XMB encoded in? DivX?

BTW, if you try to upload to Youtube, it won't save it to your harddrive. Sucks cause I lost my really good playthrough of Brain Training and got stuck with my really crappy playthrough

Edit2: Oh, it concats ALL of the video takes you do in one session. So much for trying to cover up my mistakes :lol;

Edit3: Turns out the login error was cause I never validated my e-mail with Youtube for uploading. Make sure you do that before you try it!!

To get to the camera, go to &#12418;&#12385;&#12418;&#12398; and select the last item then the first option. Press select to start recording. To end the session, repeat what you did before to get to the camera.

You'll get an option to either save it to the XMB or upload it. You can't do both >_<

After it's done uploading, it will give you the address.

The only other thing I noticed is that you can browse the archived news by category now, like they said they'd do. Feb and Mar 2007 archives have been removed and Fab and Mar 2008 have been added.

And they've added a whole heap of presents that you receive from news into the Myaile Store.

Video recording's pretty cool, yah. Wonder if more games will implement it, with YouTube functionality, it's free publicity.

The picture game is totally useless if you don't know Japanese (and even if you do, some of the choices still suck!) :lol

I don't know if there's a name for the game in English, but basically you're supposed to find a word that begins with the same syllable as the end of the previous word. If you say a word that ends in 'n,' the game is over because no words start with just 'n' in Japanese.

In your game, Ricky had to pick a word that started with "ku" and then you were supposed to follow up with "ni" (kuchibeni). You could have picked the mermaid ("ningyo") or the birds ("niwa tori" IIRC), and the one you did pick was "nihon usagi"

Pressing triangle will give you a hint for which row it's on.


In the one that I posted, I had to find a word that started with "ki," so I went for "kiru" (to cut) with the exacto-knife. Cause that's what they do, right?

WRONG.

Apparently exacto-knives are dangerous ("kiken") which made me lose the game :lol

(the sad part is I'm positive I've made that mistakes many many times before)

They seem to have set a file size limit so you don't sit there forever uploading a large file (and risk losing it). You'll have to upload it manually through a PC.

Did you end up getting any sort of special item for your room? I never could understand how to go about getting bonus items for your room to start with, though. All I ever got was two posters.

Yeah there was a few MGS4 items for your room. A Kojima Signature, a Shinkawa drawing of a Metal Gear Cat and a Mk.II figurine. They'll probably wind up in the archives sooner or later but the news reports with the items were around the 14th of june and there's two of them.

I want to purchase mini games and furniture and wouldn't mind paying. I bought one mini game with my Japanese account out of curiosity, but I know it's not worth buying too much if I can't put it to use. To start over now is pointless. Guess I'm stuck... no newly found sneak arounds, right? You would think they would take anyones money, sheesh. And copying the save is out.
