Three Musketeers was otherwise quite unremarkable, but Orlando Bloom's performance is one for the ages. That paid for the movie ticket.

Two of the best horror films of the year on his worst list. For shame Quentin.

Although, I imagine that many of you would agree with him. Fine, fine.

whoa. thought gaf liked first class

I'm just saying "it was the best superhero movie of the summer" means nothing when the rest of them were at best mediocre and forgettable. Marvel produced movies continue to play it safe and Green Lantern was Green Lantern.

fassbender was the only good thing about first class

I liked McAvoy a bit too but yeah you got that right. Superhero movies are generally awful and boring, this was the latter. After Batman and Iron Man 3 the whole genre can die for all I care.

Tarantino has such ab encyclopedic knowledge of movies that he's not going to enjoy movies for the same reasons that we do. He probably likes a particular shot or two, or the delivery of some lines here and there, or the sound mixing in a scene because it reminds him of blah blah blah.

That's what I've always sort of thought. Dude is so far removed from the average movie fan or critic.

I remember all the confusion people had when he put the Richard Gere Breathless on his top 10 :lol

Sucker Punch is the most unfairly maligned movie of the last year.

Check out the DC (aka the version before the MPAA wrecked it with some of the most specious edit requests imaginable) on Blu-Ray and pay attention to the visual details.

Its far from the incoherent, misogynistic mess that its been claimed to be.

If that's the case maybe they should change the name of the list from "favorite films of 2011 & more!" to "favorite scenes and miscellaneous bits and pieces from films of 2011 & more!"

He gave 'nice try' awards to Drive and Hanna? Bah. Those were fantastic. He sure likes a lot of junk.

Truth. Magneto was the only character in the entire film with anything resembling depth.

Rose Byrne does need to eat a little more however. I fell in love with her in The Rage in Placid Lake back in '03, but she's gotten really damned skinny in the last five years as she's found more Hollywood success. It's a shame.

Hanna and Drive didn't star anybody he's worked with.
