They were probably planning a much slower burn though, now it's just all out there. I mean I like it but I'm not sure about Respawn

How slow can they go? The game is out in 3 weeks. Maybe this will force them to start talking more about the final version.

could have potential, even on pilots, assuming there doesnt need to be a titan in sight to use it as well as its splash damage radius.

OK...Insta-Gib Titans Verses Pilots ASAP! Titan of the Hill or something. 1 Titan, 12 Pilots, control the Titan and Nuke everyone. Titans Dies and another is instantly deployed somewhere on the map.

yea, this is my favorite so far.
like 50% of the time im in a 1v2 titan situation, or titans are grouped up in small alleyways.
increases this guns effectiveness ten fold.

Now I'm curious about the weapon mods for the Titan and pilot weapons, mainly the Titans. Already in the beta there is a mod for each gun that significantly alters the way it performs and I hope there is one for each of the non-beta ones as well.
 
So we altogether, we got 10 pilot guns (including smart pistol), 3 sidearms, 4 anti-titan weapons, 4 explosives and 6 Titan weapons correct? A tad on the small side but if they're well balanced I can live with it

Some of the Burn Cards change things up in terms of ammo, so they could do more varied bits. Plus some of the attachments change things up also.

With all the pilot and titan abilities to customize, I think it's enough.

Honestly I would take a smaller group of finally tuned and balanced weapons rather than the CoD ideal of every gun possible, 3/4 of which I will never use because they are useless.

I could become a clusterfuck with all the things that happen in this game. The beta is frantic already with half the content.

Add on top each primary pilot/titan gun has 2 extra variations which change them up.
 
Yeah I'd have to concede that I usually only found a handful of guns I liked in BF and COD to use and just ignored the rest. Just hope they're balanced well

It's 17( not including ordinances ) pilot weapons and 6 Titan weapons for a total of 23 weapons. COD and BF has more. I think many people is going to criticize the seemingly lack of content for being a multiplayer only game , since many suspect the game to have more. If this is the real amount content( I doubt so ) I think many people will criticize this part of the game.

Expanding on that thought, it's worth mentioning that if you haven't played TF with friends, you really, really need to.

Combined team Titan tactics are fucking awesome. There are so many cool tricks you can pull off with just a bare minimum of teamwork, and the extra Titans and Titan ordnance/tacticals in the final are going to expand that even more.

Can't wait, hurry up release.

Weapon count is the single most useless thing in first person shooters. Give me 7 perfectly balance weapons and lots of maps over anything. People will naturally gravitate to the same ten weapons anyway.

Most of the best MP FPS games of all-time had less than 20 weapons. It's about quality and how diverse they all feel.

One of my enduring frustrations with CoF and BF is the volume of guns not worth having. I feel like most of them are there to keep you playing for more unlocks rather than their value to the gameplay experience. If 70% of the weapons in those games were nuked, nothing of value would be lost. Gimme small amount of really unique weapons worth picking up for specific goals (a la Quake, UT99-2004, Gears, Halo, Timesplitters, Crysis, KZ, Resistance) and I'm a very, very happy camper. Booing quantity without examining the quality is the height of nearsightedness.

I had this exact thought

Stryker has unlimited dodges when its core is activated. Playing keepaway with a titan sniper sounds like fun :D

At what point have you ever sat down after playing two different fps games and gone 'well, that Battlefield 4 match was fun, but it doesn't have as many guns as Loadout, so I didn't enjoy it'. Or 'I was playing Halo and having a good time, but then I played TF2 and it had more classes, Halo doesn't have enough content'.

If you're going to criticize the game, at least go after it for something meaningful. Shitty AI bots in Attrition mode or something.

i havent seen a single person in this thread say the game has so few guns that its not worth its 60$ price tag.
i have only seen the map argument, nothing about weapon count.

i know its common, but in a civilized thread where nobody has brought up such a subject, it just seems like stirring a pot.

I think it matters to quite a few people since to some less guns can mean more repetition as in if there is only like 1 AR or one sniper so it can get old really fast regardless. And it isn't just weapons either it is other stuff part of it . I can see many people comparing the number of game modes , maps , customization , etc to others games to justify if these game is worth the money , since if the game is multiplayer only some people is going to assume it should have more content then other popular FPS games. I'm not saying more or less is better I'm just saying that is how people is going to see. Imo I don't care how much weapons the game has.

I wasn't trying stir anything I just thought about it since I remember many many people elsewhere getting worried about how much content this game well have . I think some people was worried about the content in this thread, not about the weapons specifically.

when they come out, i will respond myself as well, i have already slightly commented on the subject in a response to the weapon list post.

but im not going to go all out when nobody is expressing the notion in the current thread.
i myself can attest to the fact that over 50% of the weapons available in battlefield 4 are filler, not to mention other shooters, however i feel battlefield 4 is really overkill, like reallllllly overkill.
 
RazorUK, I applaud all your effort in trying to provide as much info on TF as possible. Well-done!

I am enjoying the heck out of the Beta even with the limited slices of the game that are available, and this has me even more pumped for the finished product. Hoping that most of this is available in the game (as opposed to DLC). Plus I'm excited to see what Respawn does for the "Campaign Multiplayer" concept. Personally I try out most weapons besides sniper rifles in my first few days with a shooter then gravitate towards the 3 or 4 load-outs that fit my play-style, so I am not one to skip on a game just because it doesn't offer a million different load-out variations.

We're three weeks out from launch, I wish they'd start doing daily videos or something :(

I'd love to see weapon and map feature vids.

I suppose if it comes down to it, better that they have all hands on deck for the day one/post release patch, but presumably those aren't the same people doing promotional material.
