Did a google and GAF search, but did not see anyone post this. This was mentioned in the TMNT takeover thread, but I was watching Smallville last night and was almost floored by what I saw. If this was posted, which means my searching skills have failed me, then I apologize.

TMNT 25th
Turtles: Forever Movie premieres Nov. 21, 10-11:30 on the CW

Sad to say I am 28 years old, giddy as a schoolgirl when I saw this, and now have my DVR set to record.

It just goes to show how ridiculously awesome the show was back in the day.

I love the music when they start fighting in that clip, so classic.

This seems like a parody. How are you guys excited by this? I want a gritty live-action turtles movie :p

So you want something that'll never happen? Kay.

Listen, 1987 Turtles were very tongue-in-cheek and this film will represent that and I really don't give a shit because they're back and I fucking love that show.

Why can't it happen? Martial arts stunts have never been better and I'm sure they can make good costumes.

If not that, gimme another CGI movie instead of crapping all over the franchise with this...thing...

Its opposites day!
This looks awesome and fun. CGI film looked horrible. The original live-action movie was at least vaguely gritty as well.

Funny, I seem to remember it happening back in 1990. It's about as gritty as you could make it at the time.

Yeah I want something like that. the other 2 movies were pretty campy but still better than this Forever garbage. And maybe it's just me but the CGI looked great :p

A new live-action movie would do so well if they had good stunts, fights and a decent plot..

That actually looks really frickin cool. "We save April at least once a day!"

Can't believe they are going way back to the original comic universe too.

When the hell did any of the other turtles besides Michaelangelo say "cowabunga!"?

I'm watching the hell out of this. I love both the 2003 and 1987 Turtles, so this will be double fun for me. :D

On a side note, I'd forgotten how big 1987 April's boobs were.

Edit: Whoa, rewatching the clip, I just realized that 87 Leo's voice is Dark Yugi from Yu-Gi-Oh.

Now, I'm gonna spend the whole special waiting for him to shout "It's time to duel!" Dan Green strikes again.:lol

I pretty much spoiled every detail of the flick by reading the impressions of one who saw the first viewing months ago at ComicCon. :lol

That said, I'm still looking forward to seeing this for myself. If this is truly the "end of an era", prior to the TMNT being in the hands of Nickelodeon and Viacom, well...it was a good ride. *wistful smile, clutching his Volume 1 of the Collected Mirage comics*

I had no idea this was being released....it looks great!

I've been watching the original show a lot lately (about 2/3 through season 2 so far) but I've never seen the newer series. I was afraid it would be be a mockery of my childhood like "TMNT: The Next Mutation"
with Venus de Milo and her turtle boobs...*shudder*
so I never bothered to watch. Is it worth checking out??

The 2003 series is quite good (as long as you make sure to bail once it switches over to "Fast Forward"). I've been told it's closer to the comics than the 80's incarnation, but I've never read the comics so I can't say. It is more serious in tone (not ridiculously so though), and as long as you aren't expecting it to be exactly like the 87 series, you'll probably like it.

wait, 1984 fans? You mean like the comic book or whatever? I know for a fact that cartoon wasn't out in 1984 unless I lost my mind.

The cartoon started in 1987 on CBS, no need to get annoyed over a three year difference
unless a girl is involved

Watching the trailer on youtube it shows a small part where its black and white and shows the older TMNT designs.. i take it the original comics have a small part in the story.

Too bad there wont be psychotic Baxter Stockman, TGRI brains, Triceratons, Fugitoid, or a Cerebus the Aardvark cameo :lol
