I too have had migrated to the other forum at the time, only to come back to Gaf without regret. The reasoning is quite simple. We at gaf play and talk about videogames because we want to enjoy our free time doing what we love the most.

Why spend our time in places filled with negativity? Places that makes us feel depressed at the end of the day, every day? It's kind of pointless, when we could spend our time to simply have fun.

Or just an ignore thread option would be nice. Every now and then, someone will make a topic about something just downright depressing that I don't want to be reminded of for a week as people keep bumping the topic. So either I have set the user to ignore for a while, or keep being reminded of something sad. Neither of those choices are ideal.
