If the haters of the game are going to pussy off and not stick with their word, I'll do it for them.

DennyD, if your game isn't shit, I'll pay $250 to the charity of your choice.

That is, if your game scores over 60%, which is pretty much what is considered shit nowadays.

I was already ready to play TH, but now it's a day-one purchase for me on the sole basis of DD whipping out the enormous brass balls and thumping them down on the haters' dinner table. It's one thing to tell one of the big industry press outlets at a media day that you're confident in your game - but it's another thing entirely to throw yourself into the crowd and hope that they'll catch you in the mosh pit.

Also, the game looks cool.

Some of you people need to stay on topic rather than turning this in to yet another thinly veiled round of system wars bullshit.

Just because Kittonwy posted doesn't mean you turn your guns on him. Fuck, really GAF. Really?

Accidental post, guess i'll put something useful here:

Fact is, he's saying better than most, and I'm sure he's not meaning it as better than 51% of the games out there this year. When I think something is better than most games, I'm thinking along the lines of MGS4 for one example. That's a game someone can say that and I'd agree. He needs to define "most", as right now I'm winging it and going to say it's supposed to be better than MGS4 now. I do agree though, this was very very clever advertising though to generate a little hype on a game that was rapidly falling into bargain bins before the game is released.

That'd make a good box quote: " Too Human: Not shit. >60% on metacritic. GAF OWNED ".

You've obviously got a heck of a lot of faith in the game to take such a wild outrider of a risk to expect >60%. You've really shown GAF what courage is with your daredevil exploits. It's amazing, profound, and life changing. It's Pwnage with a capital P. I hope you have recorded this pulse pounding episode in your e-resume so down the ages strangers can bask in the fiery, hot, radioactive glow of your untamed heart and experience, vicariously, the impossible thrills of your incredible total victory, snatched, at the last possible second, from the maw of defeat, against all odds. Truly yours is the destiny of the ustoppable conqueror. I hope, as you sweep across the internets, in your ultimate triumph, you take a well deserved moment from your campaign to drive us beneath your feet and hear the lamentation of our women.

i'm not a denis hater or too human hater at all. i like SK. but really? 10+ years of development with 2 other games to come out in that time. it's already a failure. it doesn't matter if it gets a 95. other games developed in 1/3 of the time achieved the highest scores possible with some pubs (mgs4, gta4). i just hope it's a great game so the situation isn't all bad. it's just already a failure as far as time and efficiency in manpower is concerned. SK should have put out 2-3 more games during it's development time that should have 90+ rankings. not a knock on the game more of a knock on SK in general. but like i said i like SK! so don't think i'm just saying it to be a dick or anything.

Unless you're the company accountant, why should that worry you?
amount of games a talented company can put out in a certain amount of time. they could put out 3 great games in that time if they weren't dropping the ball somewhere here. so i could have 3 great games from them instead of one. by resources i didn't mean money. i meant people and equipment.

So basically you can quantify the creative process? I think you might be able to make a rather nice bit of money from that.

Can somebody please give me a synopsis of what happened here? Something about Dyack making a challenge to EvilLore or something. Like hell I'm reading through 35 pages.

If so, mind blown.
Denis has (rarely) posted on GAF and other forums for years. It's definitely him, unless someone from SK broke into his office and hijacked his account.

You aren't trying the old "5 is the average score" gag are you?
I think his point is a lot of shitty games get released in a year, most of which are never even mentioned on GAF. Any freelance game reviewer is painfully aware of this.

I think 80% should be the target number. After the fallout from GTA4, I don't think any summer games will hit a 90% or higher average.

just saying something is wrong when it takes one company 10+ years to do what everyone else can do in 3-4 max. and that's assuming the game is top notch.

Totally agree with your sarcasm. If it's nothing then why can't the people dissing the game do the same?

Still no rules for this bet hmm.

was there anything that came of this? changing review scores or reviewers defending their scores or something?
It's just my opinion, but I think for a short while at least reviewers are going to be more conservative with their scores because GTA4 turned out to not be as great as most said it would be.

I firmly believe that Too Human will fall somewhere in between "not shit" and "decent", so I guess I am FOR!!!

Hack and slash dungeon stuff isn't my cup-o-tea, but if a game has that special something that draws me to it I can find myself liking it even if it's not a genre I'm usually a fan of. Too Human has not shown me that spark yet, so until it does I'll continue to not give a shit. I'm only saying for because I think it's got too much hype to get less than 8's from the majority of reviewers. Even if it was complete shit you'd still be looking at metacritic around 70% with the power of MS at your back.

Desperation much?

I for one thought that the initial concept was awesome, but have lost all faith in the game over the past 12 months. The previously planned 4 player co-op would potentially have been it's saving grace, but since it's been scaled back to 2 it's probably become my least anticipated 2008 360 release.

Right now, i'm 110% AGAINST Too Human. It looks lame.

Nah, my views aren't summary-worthy. I was going to include your battle with Amirox, but then I thought I wanted to keep it kind of simple.

Unless you're saying that I forgot that I said I wasn't going to participate in this thread, in which case, I didn't. I'm just here for the entertainment.
