Too late to take the game back

What sequel do you think should not have been made or could've used more development time? Pick something created as a videogame first, not film based.

Bushido Blade 2.

Dead to Rights 2 - First one was really good I thought, this one is absolutely terrible. Probably killed the series

And old-school choice is StarTropics 2: Zoda's Revenge. I feel like it went in the wrong direction and lost the tropical atmosphere that I think was a major part of what made the first one so charming. It's not a bad game, but just lost the spirit of the first

powerstone 2 for DC.

yes it was fun, but the US version needed online play and the graphics could of been a bit better

I agree. Wouldn't it have been easy to add online to a melee game? Actually four players might put too much stress on the network.

QUAKE 4 - Fucking shit!
I grew up playing Quake, fuck you id. You've raped my childhood!

Needed more polish, less vechiles and better multiplayer.

^ ^ ^

You can thank Raven Software for Quake 4. (I found the PC version to be pretty good.. but the Xbox 360 port.. rolfmao)

My pick as well. The literally destroyed the combat system which made the original stand out, from the droves of FPS out there. Instead of the fine balance of snipping, short range attacks mixed with some melee combat, Bungie delievered almost exclusively close quarter combat with duel-weilding. Ugh, I still can't get over hwo dissapointing the single player was in that game.

I still play levels like the Silent Cartographer, Attack on the control room, Halo among other levels in the original and except for the first two levels based on Earth, Halo 2 is essentialy shovel ware for me, not even mentioning the story nor end.

yes the SP was so bad, subpar, rushed and underwhelming that I couldn't believe that it was the same developer of H:CE, but to be fair the MP isn't bad if you count out the electromagnetic auto-aim and other nerfed aspects of the gameplay), I wish they used the resources to make that half-assed campaign and make a 100% Multiplayer version of Halo instead.

Halo 2. The single player campaign was complete trash.

Wipeout Fusion. It's like "hey, let's take one of the playstation's most beloved franchises and remove everything that's fun about it."

They're halfway redeemed with Wipeout Pure, let's hope they keep going in that direction.

It was fun, so it should've been made. But more development time wouldn't have improved things. People mostly didn't like the core mechanic, more dev time wouldn't have changed that.

Zelda the windwaker

Yeah, a few things could've been fixed. Triforce hunt, obviously. The only other issue was finding the means to travel quicker (trying to avoid spoilers). It would've been nice if that was better integrated with the main story.

But those issues aside, I'm damn glad they made it.

Luckly I took advantage of Gamestop's lenient refund policy for this game (before they changed it). It's the only game that I had to use the refund policy cause the game sucked

Yeah, it seems like they ignored gamer's feedback and decided to throw out the majority of what people loved about the original (Tight play mechanics, big open worlds, challenging but fair AI) and reshovel all the bad things about the first game (Repetitive, monotonous level design, cramped indoor combat, cheap ass AI). It really seemed like the solo missions were an after thought which is a real shame.

You know personally the biggest fault(s) with Wind Waker as far as I am concerned first the game was far too easy for it's own good, and I think most competent gamers would have only died a handful of times if any. And it seemed like the dungeon's particular latter in the game didn't add a whole lot to the established elements and felt like bits and pieces recycled from previous games (And having to play the command melody in altter dungeons, UGH almost as irritating as watching Link's melody animation as he changed the wind for the 1000X time).

The overworld I felt wasn't compelling enough to explore, one dinky little island that takes less than 1 minute to run around isn't sufficent reward after travelling for almost 10 minutes real-time. There was so many things I really disliked about WW, yet I loved the visual style and a few bits and pieces, shame they couldn't expand and work with the concept. But alas maybe for another time...
