This. Although, I have long wanted to name a daughter Mia. I am completely surprised it's on the list. But now I have to abandon it. :(
Do it anyway. I just had a daughter and named her Mia. Even though those are the most popular names, each one is still a very small percentage of births (Mia is 0.543% or roughly 1 in 200). There probably won't be another one in her class. I always wanted a Mia and it's not until I actually had the chance to name one that it got popular.

not quite what you're looking for, but here's the top 1000 names

http://www.babynamewizard.com/the-top-1000-baby-names-of-2010-united-states-of-america

number 1000 for boys: Crew
for girls: Dania
Bottom 10 for each:

Boys:

991. Slade
992. Joziah
993. Keshawn
994. Menachem
995. Bailey
996. Camilo
997. Destin
998. Jaquan
999. Jaydan
1000. Crew

Girls:

991. Bryleigh
992. Lilith
993. Leona

995. Savanah
996. Alaysia

Isn't Maci the teen mom of son Bentley on Teen Mom season 1? That's a weird coincidence.

Yep, says it in the OP. I overheard the name Bentley last night at my friends house (his girlfriend was watching) and my first thought was "That kids going to be someones butler."

Flawless victory.

When naming our boy we didn't want a real popular name, but we wanted something traditional and not weird. We went with Tyson. Simple, but there won't be 10 of them in his class or anything.

Do you know a lot of people with babies though? That name definitely is popular amongst my friends and family along with variations such as Jayden and Cayden. Disappointed that nobody has named their kid Raiden yet.

I go with comic book names so my son is Logan and I'm thinking Phoenix if we have a girl next.

As an Aiden/Aidan, don't lump my name in with those American rhyming bastardisations. Aiden/Aidan is the anglicised form of the Celtic name Aedan, derived from the Old Irish word for 'Fire'. It's been around for well over a millenia. Just because some fuckwits are all 'but it rhymes with stupid names, we're going to be dumbarses and ignore its rich history and pretend like it was invented a few years ago'.

Edit: Bastards.

I've always loved the name Olivia. If I ever have a daughter this will be her name.

I've only seen Aidens on TV and they're usually douche bags.

No offence any NeoGAF Aidens.
My nephew's name is Aiden. He's only 4 years old. :|

He's a tiny little douchebag.

I'm surprised it's Jayden and not Jaden. I figured they were stealing the name from Will Smith's kid but his doesn't have the y.

In high school I knew a girl named Unique. It's not too terrible once you hear it more than 10 or so times.

Eunuch makes for a better name I think.

It has a more rich history and rolls of the tongue easier.

obligatory "I know someone that knows someone that named their kid La-a (pronounced La dash a)"

on topic: "Aiden" and anything that rhymes with it is terrible, and this is coming from a boy named Jody.

Aidan is awesome though.

Nor Chris or David.

Pretty soon we're gonna have "old people" names.
Flash-in-the-pan names or names that fall out of favour eventually become old people names when the last bearers of the names get old.

That's why when you hear the names Wayne, Rudolph, Judith or Gertrude, you immediately think that the person is older.

Also the following names sound so American to me. I hear them once and have no doubt about where the person is from:

1. Isabella
5. Ava
8. Madison
991. Bryleigh
993. Leona
994. Aleigha
995. Savanah
996. Alaysia
997. Leilah
1000. Dania

Boys' names:

2. Ethan
4. Jayden

991. Slade
992. Joziah
993. Keshawn
994. Menachem
995. Bailey
996. Camilo
997. Destin
998. Jaquan
999. Jaydan
1000. Crew

I think each region has its own names that are like that. For instance, some of the names that sound so-Aussie-it-hurts to me are Murray, Lachlan, Sharon and Kylie.

Top 50 for me!

Though in my entire life, I have only known 5 people with the same name as me. Odd. And I fucking hate when I do. When I have a kid, it's gonna be something mad unique, and not taking Kevin and turning it into Kevyn or some shit like that.

Damn, I'm not even in the top 1000. My name also had the height of it's popularity in the 1920s though, so I suppose not too surprising.
