I'm calling bullshit solely on the grounds that there is no Just Dance or Just Dance 2.
By revenue, not units.

Just Dance is a budget title.

How did Black Ops get so big even compared to MW2? That's crazy.
Sales in 2010. These are Modern Warfare 2's sales excluding November and December 2009.

I thought GT5 would have done better.

I figured FFXIII would have done better. Which means its total sell through WW is a lot lower than S-E's "shipped" number for sure.

Man CoD eclipses Reach and Battlefield.

I wonder what how the UK title sales compares to the full Europe list?

Sell through would seem to be about 4.5 million units.

Seems really low....

Everything seems low compared to BLOPS or FIFA. Those two games are total anomalies.

That was my guess also.
Very low for a numbered FF.
Well, to be fair to them, this is the first time I think we have actual sell through instead of shipments.

They did totally channel stuff though, and how FFXIII-2 does will be very interesting to see.

The list's confusing. Why would you list the sales figures for each title but then not show a chart of best-selling games by units?

Yeah, Angry Birds probably sold a lot more

Other than the sports titles (soccer and F1), this list is probably similar to the North American list isn't it?

Data from the previous threads.

400k in Nov
560k in Dec
For Japan, 563k

And bit of an edit, this actually covers 2010 for them too. 6.3million shipped

NPD March: 1322k
2nd month, it was completely out of the top 20. Took a while to find this link, I thought there was a better one too. Less thank 96k
Japan has it at 1905k

And most articles are showing that they shipped 5million+ worldwide.

I'm probably just being daft (dead tired after surgery), but how exactly is that list sorted (that is, what are the numbers on the sides)? Can't open PDF files currently to check the original source.

EDIT: I mean, games are often released with the same MSRP, so what accounts for the strange differences in that list?

Purely because I was curious, same top 20 (BY REVENUE) sorted by units sold (just a copy, paste into excel sorted on units instead of revenue):

1 Call of Duty: Black Ops (Activision Blizzard) 6,277,172
2 FIFA 11 (Electronic Arts) 5,451,456
4 Red Dead Redemption (Rockstar) 2,436,098

15 Final Fantasy XIII (Square Enix) 1,116,361
19 F1 2010 (Codemasters) 1,111,331

Initial number is the order from revenue from 1st post

Price cuts and sales.

Singleplayer games tend to drop quite quickly after launch for example.

I know this is revenue, but I still feel that Call of Duty is Justin Beiber/Lady Gaga of gaming.

It's the ultimate easily-absorbed shit pop music, that requires nothing from the viewer. It lowers itself to such a level that anyone and anybody can take it in.

I like mainstream things, but there CoD is not good mainstream. Fifa, GT5 and Wii fit is not my type/interest, so won't comment on those.

It's crazy to me that every game of that list is a sequel, unless you count the balance board as a unique IP. Even if so, then FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU

I'll rather let myself get raped by a thousand hipsters than acknowledge this as something that is not boring and predictable as hell.
