edit: But yeah, what is traditionally thought of as Parkdale is further south of Bloor, but Ward 14 goes up into what would be considered the tail end of the Junction I guess.

It's incredibly stupid.

There is no 'set time'. The transfer is invalid once you 'leave the system'. So if I get a transfer from Yonge and Bloor and need to board a bus at Runnymede, it has to be within that time frame. But it's up to the driver to decide. I've had to wait 10 minutes for the subway before, then 30 minutes for a bus, which is long enough for the driver to want to argue with me that my transfer was invalid.

Timed transfers make so much more sense, which is why so many more cities have them. Ah, but not Toronto. One of the really annoying archaic features of the system they refuse to change.

Yeah, you can't walk to the next stop. So if you get off the 501 streetcar, you can't walk down to King St and use it to board the subway, or streetcar there. Even if you literally take less than five minutes to walk there. And of course you can't use it for round trips either, because it isn't timed. TTC does a shit job explaining it as well and when I see people ask drivers about it, most respond as if it's too much trouble to answer.

Probably not a popular opinion, but please no more community housing in Toronto. Please. I live near one of these "community" buildings and its a nightmare for everyone involved. This one is supposedly intended for those with mental issues, but I wasn't aware that partying, drinking, and doing drugs was an illness. I have no issue if you want partake in those activities, but not on the tax payer's dime. </rant>

I got a good hour and a half of free pinball in today!

I played Circus Voltaire, X-men, Metallica, South Park, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, CSI, Avatar, AC/DC, Tron Legacy and Pirates of the Caribbean.

The best one by far was Circus Voltaire. I love those classic machines before they started licensing pop culture stuff.
Worst one was CSI. It was really boring so I guess it's true to the show.

Yup. This is super backwards and incredibly stupid. When I lived in Edmondump, it was time. Even when I was in Ottawa it was timed.

The best system is probably in Asia where you pay ahead or you just get an Octopus card like in HK.

Anyone on Rogers internet having trouble accessing websites? Facebook and Gaf work but google and others aren't connecting at all

Interesting.....they only seem to work if I put in Http:// ....wtf

Or that was just a coincidence as they are all back now


I did lose a bunch of work in SimCity though.....fucking Origin

I'm not saying it is or isn't his lawyer, but a couple of defence lawyers I have dealt with have used gmail accounts as their work e-mail, so hotmail's not much of a stretch to believe.

Edit: the name used,Dennis Morris, is the name of Ford's lawyer, at least.
