Man nostalgia is a bitch, this game feels like a 90s point n click so I have convinced myself its really good... even though the puzzles involve touching the right pixel in one of 6 screens and talking to little girls who are obsessed with bananas.

The graphics are faily decent with some likable art, but I keep feeling like this game was designed for little girls and shit, which it probably isnt because its actually kinda hard and if I ever met a girl that liked adventure games I would marry her like straight away

But Im halfway through this shit and Im going to finish it. Anyone else here share a similar experience?

It was okay. Second and fourth episodes were a lot better than the first and third, and the side quests were mostly lame.

I hope they do a better job with the sequel.

I got pretty mad at this game, mostly because if you're one pixel off in some instances it won't register and even though you know what to do it just won't do it. Gah. At least it lasts a lot longer than Trace Memory (beating a game in 2 hours is so unfulfilling).

And don't worry, if I ever meet you I won't hold you to that marriage thing.

I lost interest midway through the first episode sadly. I've been playing PPL since and I'm getting Pokemon tomorrow so it may be a while before I pick it up again. Like you, I want to like the game, but it hasn't exactly grabbed me yet.

No, I liked 90's Point and Click Adventure games too, but Touch Detective just sucks and I gave up on it halfway through. Even Trace Memory is way, way better than Touch Detective.

Game's not very good. I finished the first two chapters or something, then put it down for bigger and better games... such as Phoenix Wright 2 and Hotel Dusk.

Hell, even Trace Memory, as much as that got (unfairly) maligned.

Bah, Touch Detective is a pretty good traditional-style graphic adventure game. Sure, it's only got a few locations, but the plot is funny (a weird kind of funny, but funny... :)), the puzzles decent to good (a bit easy sometimes, but oh well), and the artwork great. As far as adventure games go, this is a good one. The DS does have other good adventure games too, like Trace Memory and Hotel Dusk, but this one is good as well... I know it got some bad press, but it doesn't deserve it at all. I got it hoping for good things (right from the first screenshots the interesting art style and genre caught my attention... I like adventure games) and it definitely lived up to my expectations... I think that there's a sequel either out or coming out in Japan ("Touch Detective 2 1/2" or something? :)), but haven't heard anything yet of a US release. I hope there is one, I'd get it... :(

Of course, after seeing the first Touch Detective I never thought it'd get a US release and then it did, so maybe there is hope for the sequel... though I don't know. We'll see.

I like it, but I don't LOVE it.

and I want to love it, its so lovable. The art is great, the character animations are pretty swell. The translation, humor, and characters are so freaking well done.

Its an A+ veneer on a C game. I like it, but I can't bring myself to recommend it safely to anyone who isn't already a mad adventure fan.

I thought it was a charming little game. It reminded me of the kind of character SNES games had, that DS games seem to lack a fair bit.

There's a sequel set for Japan (if it's not already out), but I don't think the original did well enough to warrant Atlas bringing it over, unfortunately.

I thought adventure games were one of the few genres (together with puzzle and "non-games") that girls actually play.

Normally I love graphic adventures, but Touch Detective didn't catch my interest at all. I played it for about 10 minutes and never picked it up again.

Gaming wise my home is pretty isolated, basically if you mention games around a girl she only knows the keywords: Playstation, Alex Kidd, Grand Theft Auto, or Sega

Ooops, that wasnt intended... no I would not marry a little girl. She would have to be the legal age and I would have to love her with all my heart
