U can be against something even while u have used it.

I used social media, i am against it now.

Also why does it matter where u even vote from remotely? as long as u vote once.
You can, but it makes you a hypocrite. This goes x10 for a politician.

As for the second part. That can't be real. You have to know this.

Dominos thanked her over Twitter eight years ago and Rick Wilson, NeverTrumper extraordinaire, thought highlighting that today would be a good idea:

At least he is getting his comeuppance - some astute investigators found that he has a cooler with the Confederate flag on it, and are spreading it all over Twitter:

And it can be made a little. . .meaner. . .with a little bit of work. Why would Reich Wilson have this cooler on his boat? Why did his son paint it?

It's 2020!

That's asking too much of the few liberal posters who can survive here.
You have no idea how badly I want there to be more Dem/liberal voices in the political side of the forum. The problem is that many of them have fallen victim to the brainwashing that occurs all throughout media so when they come here to post about the latest story they're often repeating the false/misleading statements. Ego, tribalism, polarization or however you want to explain it, but when facts are presented to counter their claims they seldom want to admit they were wrong. From what I can tell that's why they don't last, not because this is some sort of echo chamber.

Dems haven't made it easy on their supporters these last few years. Trump would be a much easier target without all the hyperbole and sensationalism used against him, but they made the calculation that keeping the country divided would be the only way they could win.

I’ll add that by instinct I’m left wing, have been pretty much all my life, but the left moved away from being about helping the working class and decided that identity politics mattered more so they could keep their middle class support happy. That’s why they lost me and that’s why they’re generally losing the working class.

It would be absurd to think otherwise.

GAF has many posters capable of smart discussion and debate, but if there's nobody willing to post opposing views, there's nothing left to debate.

Acosta is such a little bitch. He's just a political stooge and I know he loves the attention he gets as Journalist in Chief for #TheResistance.
You really liked this video?

It Doeesnt matter how nice your answer sounds when you're forced to take the wrong position.

Masks should be mandatory at the event, and at all indoor stadium events for the foreseeable future. It's as high risk as it gets, and the spokesperson for POTUS is telling the people she won't be wearing a mask.
I don't care how well she presents it, she's making a stupid personal decision, and sending a message that will undoubtedly cause harm to others.

Then she's defending that meme video? The original is a beautiful, inspiring video. That's what the President should have tweeted at this time of unrest. Instead he posts a doctored meme of a black person being chased by a white one? It's fucking moronic, attempting to defend it makes her come off just as stupid.

I like that she usually doesn't deflect and tries to answer questions, but having to take these positions will eat away at her, and her credibility to others.

Masks don't do anything and people don't even wear them properly. If you're young and healthy you will be fine. You're not? By all means, stay home.

It's a satirical video on the media's hypocrisy. It was perfect and it's clearly working because you're butthurt about it.

Is this Jim Acosta's Gaf account? 🤭

Masks are useless if not handled correctly and frankly nobody there handles them correct. Only health workers do really.

Meme video was to showcase how that station bends and brainwashes people all kinds of facts in order to profit from it while inciting race hate. U see this daily with them.

They even demonstrate it right on the spot by acting the way they do towards the trump rally's while they promote the blm rally's u can't even make this shit up.

About credibility, i am sure she cares about the most dishonest and amoral people in the universe like that CNN reporter what they find of her. Honestly the only reason she even talks back to them is because she has to get paid to do so.

That's asking too much of the few liberal posters who can survive here. I already have a mod who's itching to get at me, and with lockdown lifting, I'm going to have way less time.

The way you guys talk about echo-chambers, I don't think you want yo create one. So when there isn't an opposing voice, sometimes you've got to take it on yourself to look at the other side.
It'll make the forum a better place, and it's good for you too.
Can survive here?

Yes, what a reasonable opinion.
GAF allows an existential threat to impend upon liberals.

Is the threat that their usually fallacious arguments will be exposed?

Thanks for your expert take.

Can you direct me to your posts where you utter similar concerns regarding the BLM protests?
Thanks in advance.

They usually don't survive here because they have to deal with posters like you. People who should feel too stupid to post their thoughts, but can feel comfortable letting their stupidity shine because their side controls the discussion.

Posters I respect asked me the same question a few weeks ago, and I happily obliged.

I thought regular people who were protesting against murder and injustice should have worn masks outdoors. I said they were idiots for not doing so.

Imagine how fucking stupid that makes the President and the TDS cheerleaders who'll be indoors for hours in a state reaching new peaks everyday.

This the new Fox News talking point? Do they really have you admitting you're too stupid to wear a mask correctly?

In order for a mask to effectively protect others, it needs to cover your mouth and nose.
It's really that fucking simple to provide some protection to those who need it.

Thanks for the candid admission.
I wholeheartedly agree. Yours is a deeply stupid opening paragraph.
But don't be this hard on yourself!

Your argument, of course, is pathetic. Oh, "liberals" don't survive here because their posts are met with opposing arguments. Oh, the shock! The horror! Please, think about the "liberals". Refrain from disputing their points otherwise they shall not "survive" here!

Posters I respect asked me the same question a few weeks ago, and I happily obliged.

Yes, but would you mind directing me to your post(s)? I'd like to read it for myself, Thanks.

She gets tested regularly. She's not infected. She's not violating the guidelines. That means not wearing a mask poses a danger only to herself, not to others. She's an adult. It's her life. I won't pass comment until I learn about the specifics, where, exactly, she'll be attending, etc.,

Sorry mate i am from the netherlands and frankly face masks are more of a plague then that they help where majority here agree's with. It's only used in public transportation to give fake security and that's about it.

The issue really is that u need to keep your hands of the mask at all times and with hot weather nobody does that, they all touch these masks all over that bring far more bacteria everywhere. U could even see it with that CNN reporter doing exactly that after the show ended with that press secretary. Full blown hand on the mask and touching everything.

Guess what health workers do? they don't touch it and dispose of the mask correctly. Now go outside and see how much people do not touch their masks. they touch it everywhere all day long. This is why in public besides transportation it's not required here because it harms more than it does good.

And the only reason its required is to create fake security so they can rationalize packing those busses full again with people. While in reality distance is what is needed and not touching stuff that isn't yours.

"If"? How many Dem supporters did you come across these last 3.5 years that had questions about the merits of the Russian collusion charge/investigation, the obstruction of justice charge that followed after Mueller's testimony deflated the story and the impeachment case that was effectively shut down the very next day when Trump publicly released the transcript?

I have yet to come across a single person that can explain to me why mainstream media outlets around the world have been pushing verifiable lies like "very fine [Neo Nazis]" and distorting/twisting/lying about what he says every day to make it sound far more nefarious or foolish when 5 mins on Youtube is all you need to see they're wrong. This isn't incompetence/laziness at play, not when it's this coordinated and carried out over several years. Why are CBC and the BBC incapable of reporting what Trump said on any given day differently from American, politically-motivated outlets like NBC, CNN or WaPo? How/why are they all reporting the same twisted half-truths and lying by omission?

Dems aren't powerful enough to do this on their own, not on the world stage. James Comey, John Brennan and James Clapper were all part of the intelligence community that helped perpetuate the Russian collusion story. I believe they had a common goal, but a very different reason for carrying out the means to make it happen (example one and two from 2015). There are other powerful figures with a common goal, hundreds of millions invested in media outlets and axes to grind, but that's conjecture.

This media manipulation/brainwashing happens across the board and that's the beauty of conservatives having far less trust in the media than their liberal counterparts. They still trust Fox News almost as much as Dems trust CNN according to Pew Research, but I can tell you from firsthand experience over the last 2.5 years that they've not fallen flat on their face covering the same major stories as their left-leaning counterparts. FNC's biggest spin these last couple of years was labeling Dems socialists, but given what we're currently witnessing I'm not sure you could say Hannity & co. were all that wrong:

That guy was pathetic. "But duuh he used a fake video to exploit children" You dumb mf of course it was fake, it was satire at a jab of CNN showing the blatant manipulation of their medium. He never claimed it was "real" and how does showing a video of kids hugging "exploitation" ?

Trump tweeted about GF and was told to keep his name out of his mouth by prominent democrats They accused him of using GF as a prop like they do with every interaction he has with black people. (they then used GF as a prop for 3 funerals and wore kente cloth). Trump tweeted a GF memorial video and it was taken down for specious copyright strikes on Twitter. He made positive comments towards GF and it was twisted as him saying that GF was smiling over the economic numbers. How many more times does he have to have benign good will comments twisted before he just says fuck it and posts that meme? Where is the call for the fucking losers that filed copyright strikes on a memorial videos, the democrats who blasted him for even talking about GF and the smear mongers in the media who twisted the economic speech to inspire anyone?

If you touch your mask instead of your face.. it already protected you, so how can you say it's bad? You would get that bacteria directly on your skin otherwise.

However, the main use of a mask isn't to protect yourself, but to protect others. For that, it doesn't matter how often you touch them.
Only people who are infected need to wear one, so if you are tested every few days like McEnany or Trump, it doesn't matter, but if you don't know if you are infected wearing one as a precaution makes sense and protects others from you.

Coughs are especially bad but even breathing can have quite a reach.

With masks on the other hand

Now, you might say only professional high grade masks stop it completely and you would be right.

But even self made permeable masks can reduce the spread to something like 50cm, good enough for most situations. Knowing this, I don't see how anyone can claim that masks are pointless. It would be great if sick people would get used to wearing them when they leave their homes, regardless of a pandemic or not, like it is done in asian nations. Might reduce flu and other infections by quite a bit..

That said, masks are not really practical if you do anything that takes some time. They are good for using public transport or going shopping.. not so much for anything that involves eating & drinking or work. You also don't need them if you just go for a walk outside. If it is really hot, wearing them might not be worth it either depending on circumstance..
..and after using them, you should throw them away or boil them in hot water before using them again.

That said, I care about others about as much as they care about me, and since government withdrew obligatory mask-wearing where I live and almost no one is using them anymore, I can't be bothered to do it either :messenger_grinning_sweat:

You really haven't heard?

The fun part is where she rails against vote by mail with the President, but turns out they've both done a ton of it.

www.forbes.com/sites/nicholasreimann/2020/05/27/trumps-press-secretary-has-solely-voted-by-mail-since-2010-report-says-despite-claims-of-fraud-risks/amp/

When she got called out, she made what she thought was a smart comment about that's how absentee ballots work. Problem is that Florida is bite by mail.

Now this is the part where she might have committed voter fraud. It actually looks like she did, though you can argue it was stupidity, not malice.
There is a difference between requesting a ballot be sent to you and sending out ballots en mass to everyone who has ever registered to vote alive or dead. It is the new conflation. The administration is not rallying against the former. They are against the latter as it just invites fraud.

If two of the most public people on the planet can get away with voter fraud according to your articles then it really isn't a good case for mail in voting.

Yah, I honestly get the impression that some of these reporters make her skin crawl, especially that Acosta guy. I mean, he makes my skin crawl a couple of thousands miles away at the end of an internet link. Fuck being in the same room physically. Gross.

Whatever she gets paid, it isn't enough.
