Does anyone watch The Tick? Does season 2 have closure? My wife and I liked the look of the trailer. And I have fond memories of the cartoon.
If it ends on a cliffhanger I most likely won't watch it though.

The Passage is the only recently cancelled tv show I was watching. It was okayish, I'm not that sad about the cancellation actually because it got a pretty nice and satisfying finale. That's very rare for a FOX show.

I wanted to like it (loved the comic and really dug the original TV series with Batmanuel) but I struggled to garner any enthusiasm for the Amazon version truth be told.

That's a shame. There are so many shows to watch. A fan of the cartoon not liking it and it being cancelled makes me even less inclined to check it out.

Years & Years premieres June 24 on HBO. Created by Russell T. Davies and starring Emma Thompson, Anne Reid and Rory Kinnear, Years & Years is an epic saga that takes an ordinary family and catapults them through the next 15 years. As society changes, faster than ever, the Lyons will experience everything we hope for in the future, and everything we fear. They’ll fall in and out of love, and grow old, fall apart and come back together, while constantly looking forward.

Sony Pictures Animation announced a “re-imagining” of the animated satire series “The Boondocks” in collaboration with creator Aaron McGruder as part of their presentation at the Annecy Festival 2019 on Wednesday, and the company is also developing an animated series called “Hungry Ghosts” based on the Dark Horse graphic novel comic series written by Bourdain and Joel Rose.

“The Boondocks” reboot, which is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television, aims to update the cult, subversive satire for the modern era. It chronicles the adventures of the Freeman family against the evil local government tyrant Uncle Ruckus, who rules the fictional Woodcrest County, Maryland with an iron fist.

Not sure if there are admirers of SMILF here, but I just found out that it's been cancelled altogether. I quite liked the show, however brief its life was.

A show I’m looking forward to is Danny McBrides new show The Righteous Gemstones. I loved Eastbound and Down and Vice Principles so I’m looking forward to this. The show starts in August on HBO.

is their a place to get price alerts for Apple TV shows? Like a price watch app? I figure I should just outright buy all the seasons of the Office and Parks and Rec, but i know they have sales.

Blackadder stars meet to discuss Series 5

  • Reports suggest Blackadder Series 5 is going to be made
  • Rowan Atkinson, Tony Robinson, Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie met to agree on a return
  • The new series will reportedly see Blackadder as a university lecturer

The stars of Blackadder have reportedly agreed to reunite for a new episode or series, after having met up in London to discuss the idea of bringing back the hit sitcom.

The Sun reports Rowan Atkinson, Tony Robinson, Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie agreed on a return, after meeting together at the Soho House members club in London.

A source told the newspaper: "They were all having a great laugh and they are all old friends. So they just said, 'Yes, let's do it'. It is being written now. Rowan has been saying he is extremely excited."

The new series will reportedly be set in the modern day, with Blackadder as a university lecturer.

Speaking in a recent newspaper interview, co-writer Richard Curtis said: "The thing about Blackadder was, it was a young man's show criticising older people, saying how stupid those in authority were. So I did once think, 'If we ever did anything again, it should be Blackadder as a teacher in a university, about how much we hate young people'."

The Sun's source commented: "It will be in the modern day. Blackadder will be a lot older, of course, so they've come up with the ageing university lecturer idea. Curtis and Atkinson have discussed guest appearances from stars such as Tom Hardy and Russell Brand."

Blackadder started in 1983, with the critically acclaimed fourth series airing in 1989. The one-off special Blackadder Back & Forth was made in 2000. Richard Curtis has been working on the film Yesterday, whilst co-writer Ben Elton has been working on a return to stand-up, and writing BBC sitcom Upstart Crow.

It should be noted the characters returning has not been officially confirmed by anyone involved, and it is not the first time that a fifth series has been reported but then nothing has appeared. Should it be going ahead, official news will be announced in due course.

I'm conflicted. I loved Blackadder, the 4th series is literally perfect, but this seems risky. Also, if it's not set in the past is it really Blackadder?

Set it in the 80s. Blackadder is a member of parliament. Miranda Richardson can be Thatcher.

Yes Minister Blackadder

Then after Baldrick accidently poisons Thatcher:

Yes, Prime Minister Blackadder

So this mean's Kiefer is free again... can we now have a proper 24 send-off for his character? :)
