No! RE5 almost destroy by AI partner. Play it better is with anyone online co-op (if they are good). Not fair for SP hardcore.

Co-op is rarely success, therefore own co-op levels like R2 or specialize design for co-op like L4D are better of.

I'm alright with separate modes a'la GRAW and R2, but the point is that including multiplayer does increase the longevity of a game, and subsequently makes a purchase more likely than a rental. Capcom obviously took it much too far with RE5, but there are plenty of successful examples of co-op to counter that one failure. Nor does it mean that co-op would have to even involve the campaign itself.

If you mean by RE5 like levels of co-op, then fuck no from vids and stories I've seen.

I don't understand why people hate on co-op in RE5, because it's the best feature of the title.
I would even argue it's the best co-op play I have ever played...

Now if you want to debate the overall direction or gameplay of RE5 that's a different discussion, but the actual co-op is well done.

If ND could implement solid co-op like RE5, but not take away from the SP experience I'm all for the addition. Honestly I think a better approach would be a game mode that is designed specifically for co-op, but leave the cinematic SP gameplay alone.

I guess I'm one of the few players who still appreciate a great SP gameplay experience; we don't need multiplayer components in every title released.

Ugh some of you should realize just from the 2 minute gameplay leak that co-op is just not possible in Uncharted 2. How in the blue fuck are you gonna handle the semi-scripted platforming sequences? Uncharted is not Gears of War.

Great point. It seems the game still features the timed platforming (things falling out of the wall, collapsing, etc.) which wouldn't be possible with co-op. Competitive MP would be interesting, but who knows if they do it.

Who knows, it would make sense to be released earlier than for example Heavy Rain or other games they were showing that other day, as the embargo on these previews is so much sooner for U2 than for those other titles.

But I do know if GT5 is announced to be coming in Fiscal 2009, they are going to clear out the whole quarter in which it comes out since it's going to pwn sales, so I'd say if GT5 does come Fiscal 2009, it'll come late march 2010, and GoW3 and Heavy Rain will come in Oct/Nov.

This is David Jaffe's blog... He is a well knows game developer who worked on God of War, Twisted Metal and most recently, Calling all Cars. In this blog post, he talks about why so many games release during the Holidays. Now check the comments... Especially one from Natepig. Here is a line from his comment:--

"GoW 3 is supposed to be holiday 09' right? I know we are looking at a holiday 09' release of our game." So God of War 3 could be Holiday 2009 (He doesnt know, he's really asking, but at least his gaming company is looking for a Holiday 2009 release for its game. With me so far? Good.)

Now click his name and see his profile. The relevant part is this:--

"I am currently in the Sony family working as an environment/3D Artist at Zipper Interactive."

Could it be possible that he is working on MAG? Thats the only title Zipper is working on, unless you count Socom 4. I highly doubt Socom 4 is something they would target for next Holidays... So that leaves MAG!!!

Its probably nothing... but like I said, at the very least, its intriguing.

Every year Xbox 360 has a killer title that hits in the Fall. Last year all major multiplats were superior on 360 with the additional DLC, alongside Gears of War 2 and Fable 2.

Sony needs to let all the big dogs out in the Fall.
