And the fact that the sprays are monetized isn't the catch.

http://www.counter-strike.net/graffiti/

FAQ

"How many times can I use a graffiti pattern?
When a player unseals graffiti they can apply that pattern 50 times. Players who unseal a graffiti pattern they already have in their Inventory will receive 50 additional charges to their existing supply."

Monetized and it's a limited use item that you have to keep buying. Brilliant job Valve, really putting it to your fanbase.

OK, this is ridiculous. Are there custom graffitis, like in CS 1.6? Or is this the only way? If it's the latter then this is pretty fucked up, CS GO isn't F2P.

Well, I figured that if Valve would ever add them into CSGO, they would specific things you buy.

Didn't expect them to be a consumable, though.

Wow. This has to be a bad joke.

It seems like such a far cry from where Valve used to draw the line with this stuff.

Keep in mind the idea is that this bullshit facilitates the creation of content for a game Valve has turned into a "service," yet there's been one, ONE, single fucking content update in 2016.

Not GAF, lol
Nobody ever uses these limited quantity items Valve adds. I don't know why they even bother

TF2 noisemakers? TF2 dueling tokens? Dota 2 river paint? Nobody ever uses any of those because they're limited use items.

This is not what PC gaming is about.

This can't be real.

Sprays have been a thing in CS since... since well, CS.

This honestly just looks like a cash grab, like Valve needs any more fucking money....

Just let us use anything we want and put a "show sprays" toggle in the options.

Give us Half-life 3 you hacks.

Noisemakers are pretty much dead aside from the yearly winter and birthday noisemakers everyone gets for free. Its a stupid concept.

Valves mishandling of CS over the years is absolutely pathetic. As much as Half-Life built the company Counter-Strike was a huge reason people even bothered with Steam when they forced everyone to it after shutting down WONID. It's a game that has helped Valve grow into the company they are today and each time they get their hands on it they seem to make sure they do something wrong.

I honestly do begin to think at this stage just how many people at Valve truly care about putting out a fair, quality product. The very thing they championed in the beginning.
