Trials of Mana Demo frame rate comparison comparing the framerate/fps on Switch vs PS4 vs PS4 Pro.

The versions tested were 1.00 on the Playstation 4 systems and 1.0.0 on Switch.
The Switch footage is captured from the game running in docked mode.
Note that time of day can vary in some clips.

When outputting at 2160p, PS4 Pro renders at a native resolution of 2560x1440. When outputting at 1080p with forced supersampling disabled, PS4 Pro downsamples from a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 2560x1440 and the lowest resolution found being approximately 2112x1188.

The 1080p output mode on PS4 Pro can run better in some scenes than the 2160p output mode https://bit.ly/2Uic17m

Base PS4 renders at a native resolution of 1920x1080.

Switch in Docked Mode uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 1600x900 and the lowest resolution found being approximately 1120x630. Switch in Portable Mode uses a dynamic resolution with the highest resolution found being 1280x720 and the lowest resolution found being approximately 832x468.

Frames Pixel Counted: http://bit.ly/3d7gukM

Framerate seems a bit inconsistent based on the parts of the video I have watched thus far.

TL-DR : Pro is 1440p, PS4 is 1080p, Switch docked varies between 800p and 630p. Framerate seems to dip on all platforms

Sorry if old, I did a search and didn't see a breakdown posted but I may have missed it

Really wish developers would just lock the frame rate at 30 instead of having a fluctuating 60. It would simply be better as the pacing would be better and wouldn't be jarring at all whatsoever.

With that said, I played the demo on PS4 Pro and really enjoyed it so despite the frame dips, it's most likely day one for me.

This, so much this. If the game is unable to maintain a steady-ish 60, give me 30 any day instead of something between 30 and 50 (and highly variable). At least give us the option for a 30fps cap.

(but thanks for the reminder OP, had forgot about the demo, downloading right now)

Most important thing is this game has atrocious loading times and it loads too much. Why that much loading for a game that looks like a PS2 title. This was on the Pro. So annoying.

Yeah, Switch demo felt a bit blurry, not a big fan. Another no-go for me on Switch.

Kind of tired of developers dumping their games on Switch and have them run by reducing framerate and resolution.

The times of optimizing a game for a hardware are long gone.

I played the demo on a PS4 slim and runned ok. It's perfectly playable IMO.

I'd be happy to get this on my Switch, but the FR dips on the PS4 Pro is concerning. This is based solely on a demo so who knows that kind of things might grind the switch version to a halt in the later hours of the game
