Video Games with Erotic Content fitting the narrative

Most people who've debated with me concerning DoA's jiggle physics, Quiet's ass-shots and the like have probably heard me bitching about the fact that I find such content inappropriate and demeaning if it doesn't fit the narrative. And I mean it. But when it *does* fit the narrative, however, I am SO approving of adult content.

But what do you consider 'appropriate', oh high, mighty and snotty Nickolaidas?

Well, here's the thing: A video game which has erotic or titillating content as a way to complement or enrich the story and its characters is deemed appropriate, while a game which has vulgar camera shots or characters with vulgar attires with no logical explanation (i.e. a nun character which is topless without the game ever explaining why - other than to give the male player a boner - or a female captain of a medieval army making a speech about victory while the camera zooms in on her ass) is deemed inappropriate.

So I decided to make this thread to help us point out video games with erotic content which 'fit the narrative'.

So I just name video games I consider appropriate by your crazy standards?

Not exactly. In order to make this interesting, each of us will present games which are mostly unknown to the majority of gamers (i.e. there's no reason to mention the Witcher series, Mass Effect, Dragon Age or even Leisure Suit Larry - anyone with common knowledge of gaming history is aware of these games).

Also, a video game where the story is only about your character wanting to have sex (with little to no story besides that and almost no gameplay mechanics to actually make a GAME) is also a no-no, because we're basically talking about interactive porn. In the supposed game previously mentioned, sex doesn't complement the narrative nor is it a means to an end - it *is* the narrative, and it *is* the beginning and the end of the game. So this prerequisite immediately cancels all those cheap 3D porn-RPG-you-wish-games which flood the web whenever you visit adult games content and the like.

So, to sum up: Post your findings about obscure video games which have story, gameplay, solid characters, adult content and where sex isn't the be-all end-all of the story.

Now, here are three entries to begin with:

Succubus Prison (PC, Windows)

Succubus Prison is an Erotic/Survival Horror game by tokinokogiri which comes from Japan and was translated by some Patreon fans of the game some months back as a patch. The story is about a young unnamed protagonist who is bullied by two scoundrels to help them break into a mansion where three women are said to reside there. When the three men enter the house, they are quickly found out and murdered by the three women who are revealed to be Succubi (this is the intro, I'm not really spoiling anything). The third Succubus is about to kill the protag, until she realizes he is a virgin. Amused by this turn of events (and aroused at the thought of draining a virgin), she postpones his death by one day, in order for the despair to fill his heart and make his death all the more sweeter to her senses (Succubi taste their victims' fear and agony as if they were an aphrodisiac which makes their meal even more delicious).

The player is confined to his room and the corridor outside up to the restroom. As the three Succubi walk around the mansion, leave the house to return with future victims or sleep in their bedrooms (each with different time schedules), the character must search the house for clues, items and info to find a way to unlock the main door, bypass magical spells the Succubi have cast to prevent him from leaving, and avoid the Succubi who will drain his life force by having sex with him if they find him outside his room (unless he manages to come up with a good excuse for being there). So yeah, in this game if you have sex, you die (but if it makes it better, your character loves every second of it despite being afraid as f*&k).

The game's artwork is really nice, the hentai scenes can be really exciting especially if you are into femdom, and the game can be really stressful when the character searches for clues and items in a room while there's a chance a Succubus may barge in, awaken if you make too much noise in her room, or enters your room and starts hunting you when she sees you're not inside your quarters. There are multiple endings, a decent soundtrack, very nice characterization and generally a very nice package which will definitely satisfy gamers who would like to play a survival horror game with succubus as the enemy/predator.

Highly recommended. Installing the game might be a small pain because you need a couple of drivers to make your Windows compatible with japanese games, but it's worth it. In the game's website there's purchasable DLC which includes more endings, voices for the Succubi and a couple of extra hidden Succubi you can summon via a ritual (if you're feeling suicidal).

For our ERA cousins, there's even a hidden trans Succubi if they feel like taking a d*&k in the ass.

Princess Trainer (Gold) (PC, Windows)

While most trainer games are often treading into pure porn, this particular one stands out because of its content and amazing artwork. In this what-if unofficial spin-off of the Aladdin IP of the disney universe, Jaffar has won. He banishes Aladdin, defeats the djinni and captures princess Jasmine. Then, Jaffar assigns a mysterious old man (you) to train her into becoming an obedient sex-slave which will live only to serve Jaffar. You are given a small amount of money to start, and it is up to you to use Jasmine to make you money, ruin her sense of self-worth and pride and help her grow her slutty, submissive nature in order to become a faithful amorous servant.

The game has plenty of funny dialogue and multiple references (Jasmine's reactions when you make her a dancer or a cleaning lady or anything which demeans her royal stature helps very much to sell you the idea of this entire misadventure), and the creator has clearly put a lot of love and time into this project. There are many side-quests that you can take, a few interesting and original characters to interact with (canon characters besides Jasmine have little to no screen time) and a solid soundtrack throughout the entire game. This is basically aladdin literotica taking pixelated flesh ... with interesting results. Fans of graphic novels and maledom who had a soft spot for Jasmine when they were teens and wanted to turn her into their concubine should definitely check it out. Recommended, even though it almost overstays its welcome by the time you reach the later parts of the game.

Hunie Pop (PC, Windows, Steam)

Another well-done game. While Hunie Pop's endgame *is* indeed to get laid, the game mechanics themselves are interesting and addictive enough and the sex scenes so besides-the-point that it more than warrants a mention. You are a loser beta male/lesbian (the game lets you choose) who meets his/her fairy godmother (a sexy little creature with a sassy mouth) who takes it upon herself to train you to become an alpha. You slowly get access to a group of potential sex partners where you get to know them, talk with them and eventually earn their affection in order to go on dates and eventually bed with.

The game has awesome artwork, cute, clean and sharp visuals, and it's a classic 3-of-a-kind puzzle game like Puzzle Quest or Gems of War when you have to make a 3-of-a-kind (or 4 or 5) gem rows in order to 'delete' the gems and have the ones above them fall in their place. Different girls are attracted to different gems, so you have to plan your strategy accordingly and make the 3-of-a-kind a particular girl likes in order to win her affection. Buying the girls drinks or gifts will improve their disposition towards you and making a successful date in the evening will earn you an invitation to their bedroom ... where the sex is also based on your performance and speed on doing 3-of-a-kinds (but the rules are different in bed ... the faster you make 3-of-a-kind, the faster and harder you perform, attempting to bring her into an orgasm).

The game has plenty of charm and humor, especially in the beginning where you exchange info with the lady you're conversing with and the female characters while stereotypes, are pretty realistic and believable in their words and personalities. Ironically however, the more info you accumulate about a girl, the less interesting the talks become since at that point there's no new info to get and she's only interested in asking you questions to make sure you remember what she said (be sure to take notes). Thankfully, the gameplay is addictive enough to keep you playing to the point where the sex-goal almost becomes an afterthought. There are also a couple of hidden characters where you have to do 'something' 'somewhere' in order to unlock them and have them as potential bedmates.

The steam version is censored - you need to find a patch which makes the picture galleries uncensored in order to enjoy the full artistic vision on your own. All in all, I highly recommend it for dating sim fans who like to 'work' for their 'meal'.

So, what are your recommendations?

Two words: Katawa Shoujo.

Great game. Sex scenes are...okay I guess?

About going to a School full of disabled students and ending up having sex with one of them if you make the right choices but the journey to get there is so amazing and realistic you forget the end sex scenes and enjoy the journey to being a better person whilst struggling with a Heart Condition.

One character with no Arms is actually really funny and I suspect she has Autism as she never reacts the way you expect her to.

Catherine is a stellar game with sexual content that doesn´t appear as lewd or inappropriate. instead it enriches the game experience and enhances the mature and complex themes of the story it´s trying to tell.

How does DoA's jiggle physics not fit the narrative? They're presumably women with natural breasts, and those tend to jiggle when the woman moves.

Witcher? Both Witcher 2 & 3 have copious amounts of sex, nudity & violence - all fitting the narrative. There's also survival horror games as well, with character like Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine or Juli Kidman (Evil Within 1 & 2) with "erotic" traits perfectly in-line with their character's role in the story. The sexy femme fatale is a very popular character since year zero in storytelling.

I hope to god this game doesn’t get censored because of lunatics in ReserEra.

I'm not familiar with any of these games other than the witcher, mass effect...so forth. Are these browser games or only on PC maybe? I feel like since I just recently built my PC late last year, I've been missing out on a lot of games I would never see on consoles.

I don't know about those mentioned by the other posters, but the ones I mentioned are PC games, downloadable like every else. They're not browser games - though none will stress your PC's specs, trust me.

Utawarerumono (the good one) and Tears to Tiara. One generally has to look towards Japan for that. While the West has more adult content these days, pretty much all of the Patreon stuff etc isn't exactly good.

I only came for erotic content
Hmm...

I honestly don't care if something fits the narrative or not. I am a simple man, appease my baser desires and I'll be content. It's one of the reasons I love my woman so much, we naturally make a great couple. I'd hate to live by such strict rules, because there is so much I'd miss out on. All of the art, culture, and music filled to the brim with "suggestive" erotic imagery. I couldn't give a rat's ass what people think about me or my tastes, I'm happy with myself and secure enough to enjoy what I like. For me the suspension of disbelief is no issue. Seriously, I play it all if I like the style.
