Kinda reminds me of this gem:

The Rugrats really were a figment of Angelica’s Imagination.

Chucky died a long time ago along with this mother, that’s why Chaz is a nervous wreck all the time.

Tommy was a stillborn, that’s why Stu is constantly in the basement making toys for the son who never had a chance to live.

The DeVilles had an abortion, Angelica couldn’t figure whether it would be a boy or a girl thus creating the twins
I just read this to my girlfriend and she made an expression that suggested a close member of her family had died. You've definitely ruined her day.

Then what about Dil and Kimmy?

Those theories are the biggest junk, it's just a bunch of bored twenty somethings trying to make something deeper than they are. Show's just about some babies and their terrible parents.

This was pointed out in the NA Club Nintendo Elite status prize thread by vid:

...wait a second.

...the left eye of the mask lines up with the right eye of the moon. HOW LONG HAS THIS BEEN GOING ON?!

Hahaha, I wasn't going to post that here because I felt like I was probably the only person who didn't notice it. Watching the title sequence again, it's so obvious... but somehow it never really hit me.

Yep. After sonic 2 for the game gear, every single sonic game are the dreams Sonic and Tails have whilst in a permanant coma. As the years go on, they're pleasant dreams turn into nightmares as the realization of never being truly awake dawns on their subconscious.

These nightmares take the form of Sonic's shitty games and friends. As do the sins of his past life. His gluttony for chili dogs takes the form of Big the Cat, knuckles is his short temper, and Amy rose, his repressed homosexuality.

Holy crap, all these crazy fanfictions are reminding me of that crazy theory that Ash is in a coma this whole time.

Not sure if this was posted, but seen some one talking about the lost sonic 2 levels.

Thought it was pretty cool to actually see them. All the boss battles are recycled from the actual game levels though.

Note towards the end of the Genocide city level, surely gad this level ever been developed that testing would have shown almost every player would have died there!!

Edit : Finished the video, The Chemical Plant reskin as Death Egg was disappointing. The uploader claims that Sega originally intended for this zone (Chemical plant kinned as Death Egg) To be the final zone, then decided it was too easy and it became the Chemical Plant we know today.

Yeah, as RagnarokX said, this is pretty much all made up BS.

The Hidden Palace Zone is the only one that's mostly complete in beta roms, but IIRC it's not even fully functional, no boss, and some interactive elements don't work.

This is literally all we have of Wood Zone and Dust Hill Zone. One magazine scan screen of each, and Wood Zone has a few actual art assets in the beta rom (along with the full gator sprite). That's it, and it's disingenuous to pretend you could assemble a level as the developers might have intended from that.

For the Wood Zone, all the rom hacker did was extensively use the few assets that were produced for it, and it assuredly would've looked far better in the final game than the beta assets do. In my opinion, the Wood Zone art always looked terrible and nothing like you'd expect things to look in a Sonic game. It had a long way to go before it would've taken shape as an actual level.

For comparison and as a point of interest, here's the nauseating pink Casino Night Zone found in the same beta.

This is all we have of Genocide City (whose name was changed to Cyber City) - one piece of cool concept art. The level was scrapped before they even started making it. Eventually Metropolis Zone took its place. You can see that the strange gothic/medieval design the rom hacker chose is completely wrong.

Ok so here is something i came upon myself. This is speculative but i think it's a bit too close to be a coincidence.

It's known that Roboto Keiji K was an inspiration for the character Q

It's def noticeable in the face, but one night i was watching an old re-run of the british avengers tv show and came upon these guys.

The Cybernauts

The way they fight...basically chopping people is also similar to Q's moves.

Watch Da Birdie

I buy cakes for myself on my birthday it's not weird lots of people do it I bet
I think Brycen in Pokemon Black 2/White 2 in one of the PokeWood films is probably a reference to Roboto Keiji K as well...

The entire "theory" is located here. It's a crock of shit, but worth a read.

What actually surprised me is that in Doug the last name "Dink" (as in Mr. and Mrs.) comes from "Double Income No Kids".

These sorts of things are dumb. Just like the similar one for Final Fantasy VIII.

You can turn pretty much anything into "the main character is in a coma/hallucinating/dying and this is what they see."

It's much better when it's actually true. I was pretty dumb for my age when it came to picking up on even the most thinly veiled subtlety, so my mind was blown when it was revealed that Mario was dreaming the entire time.

This is awesome, love all these early sonic games un-known facts etc.

That pink casino night is horrid. Delighted they changed it.

As for something mindblowing? Ive played games since I got a NES as a kid, had all nintendo consoles, yet Ive never played a single Zelda game or a Final Fantasy game. Ever.

In "Elite Beat Agents", the cover for "Walkie Talkie Man" has someone coughing in the background. It's nearly the very end of the song, after the last segment ends. This is on the actual sound file, since it can be heard on the clean version of the song, not just in-game. [...]

Not really mindblowing, but I'm surprised they went with that version of the song in the final game since the coughing is pretty audible.

Just wanted to point out that the cough and its inclusion are intentional. If you listen to the original Steriogram recording of the song, there's a cough in the vocal track at the same spot in the song. Of course, the EBA one sounds really forced. So, not so much a funny blooper, but an awkward sounding attempt at mirroring the original.

Probably not that mindblowing, but you know how Super Sonic was inspired by super saiyans in Dragon Ball Z, and how in Sonic 3, his eyes were turquoise just like a super saiyan?

Now you know how when regular Sonic got green eyes, Super Sonic went to red eyes?

Well it turns out, that in Akira Toriyama's concept art for the first Cooler movie, SSJ Goku's eyes are also red.

We know that Super Sonic in general was inspired by super saiyans, so is this further inspiration or mere coincidence? Probably the latter, but still pretty neat.

I highly doubt the red eye color inspiration. Why after modelling Super Sonic after the finalized SSJ Goku (with green eyes) would they decide to go back to his concept art to get inspiration to use red eyes?

I love how Sonic is connected to DBZ in a way that even DBZ being a version of Superman, Sonic and Superman have NOTHING in common

...Somehow I've never made the 'nice, super-strong, super-powered alien savior' connection between DBZ and Superman until just now.

Huh.

Huh.

It has MUCH more points when you think about ... destroyed planet, main superpowers being flight, super strenght and laser beams and main rival from said planet being the most obvious ones.

Wearing battle clothing that don't cover the head and that are basicaly only blue and an extreme hot color (red/orange) with an emblem on the chest with one "letter" (S and the kanji for Turtle... with the kanji ALSO being in a yellow background in the pre-Z era) and not being a good "dead person" are the least obvious, i guess

That explains why it always looked so old and retro to me. I always said it looked like an old VCR from the 80s or something, and people would get really upset and say it was a modern design, lol.

Gotta stick with your gut sometimes!

Something seems off with that Atari Microbox...are those USB ports or controller ports? I'm assuming the port on the furthest left is a phone jack, so they might be too big to be USB.

It blows my mind that someone would think of something so incredibly inane and stupid. It's like creating a detailed history for the Trix Rabbit. You have to both lack initiative and imagination to create such a dumb story.
