I agree, I hate the sport, and I hate that it's somehow socially acceptable to be a complete moron who obsesses over sports fandom, but if you're a fan of something related to "geek" culture, then you're a complete loser. But I digress.

I guess I wouldn't ever really say I would ban it, because what I try to get across to people is that we need to stop being judgmental of things we don't like because it doesn't conform to what I like, or what I believe in. Especially when you're talking about things from completely different cultures. The problem with the internet, which at the same time is part of what makes it great, is that we are exposed to every thing from all parts of the globe. For me, it's exposed me to all the aspects of Japanese culture I might have not been introduced to before, and what I fell in love with. For those who are comfortable in their little bubbles, and think their way is the "right" way, anything they don't approve automatically should be banned. That's horseshit I think and needs to be discouraged, yet there are people in parts of the internet, especially REEEra, that want anything they don't approve to be abolished. It's fucking stupid.

Pretty good video OP thanks. I used to love Sony but after the Vita treatment and censorship I prefer to support other systems, particularly Switch, Xbox and PC. In the year I've had my X and launch Switch I've spent more there than on PS (where I have nearly 1k titles). Only game I want in the future for sure is FF7R and I wait for ports on other games. If they ever stop being stupid and want my money I'll be there. But it sucks man. On the other hand PC content and hell even Switch is surprisingly great and I can't wait to go through Yakuza again on Xbox next year. For me personally this was the biggest disappointment Sony has made. Even the PS3 reveal with its boomerang controller, Riiiiiiiiiiidge Raaaaacer, and the initial price were nothing compared to the trust I've lost with them.

I sincerely hope they turn it around though.

No matter how many M18 ratings you put on a box, video gaming will always skew to young people. Some console makers take issue with this, some don't. PC is an open platform so nobody can completely control it.

It's like when popular mainstream stores ban Playboys, Penthouse, and cigarettes. The store simply wants to cut down on a potential bad image and influencer for young people.

Those games are so niche that it's impossible to tell how much the censorship affects the sales, and you know that. Sony is hardly affected by the loss of 1k sales (guessing a number) of a titty game when the mass of their profits comes from AAA games that sell millions.
