Watch Dogs 2 Full Copies Out in The Wild and on youtube

For people with the game, how long will it take to collect all the key data? That looks to be the only trophy that's even remotely challenging/time consuming.

There's only 24 collectibles, but they're hidden behind puzzles.

A guide for All 24 Key Data Collectible Locations & Solutions in Watch Dogs 2. Finding all of them unlocks the Researcher trophy / achievement. It is also needed to buy certain skills and upgrades.

The Key Data locations are shown to you in-game and are easy to find. Open the research App on your phone and press Triangle (PS4) / Y (XB1) on a key data skill. It will show you the rough search area on the map, not always the exact location. You can use the Quadcopter and press Right Stick to scan the world for nearby collectibles.

Figuring out the solutions to these puzzles is the harder part. Many of them require the RC Jumper or Quadcopter (RC Jumper is one of the first story unlocks, Quadcopter must be bought in Hacker HQ).
One key data requires the skill "Environmental RC" (costs 2 research points). All the others can be found without the use of skill upgrades.

You can reach every key data very early in the game, after you unlock the research app. They will be saved instantly when you pick them up. Nothing is missable.
In the research app you can see which ones you've found.

Honnestly it feels like the trophy to purchase 20 cars will be a lot longer because money is a bit scarce. Key data are fine though, 5 minutes each and you can pick them up while you're in a close area to save time.

Cant seem to get the Gold Edition on Xbox to preload. Anyone else having preload issues? Maybe it's not up yet?

My game is ~30GB. It's the Gold Edition on Xbox. Looks like it worked fine for me.

Edit: Whoops! I have the Deluxe Edition, sry. My bad.

Edit2: "Release date: ‎14‎/‎11‎/‎2016‎ ‎5‎:‎00‎:‎00‎ ‎PM CET" - Damn...I'm not at home then :/

Some questions that probably already have answers somewhere in this thread:
- how crowded/alive is the city?
- how big is the map?
- is Sausalito in the game?
- is there a huge difference in drawing distance and number of cars/people in the city between X1 and PS4 Pro?

Is this also in the US Version? Is it rated A in the US?

Just nudity wouldn't give a game an AO rating, multiple games have already shown dicks and vaginas and received M ratings. It pretty much needs to be a literal porn game to get an AO, or something like Hatred.

Don't bother following this guide, ruins the fun. They're not difficult in the slightest and the game points you in the direction of where they are. It's fun to solve the little mechanics puzzles to get them. This was something I thought was super cool about the progression - making you find something to unlock a skill rather than just earning points and pressing a button.

- It's not booming but it's absolutely fine, some areas are quieter and I think it's selective poor footage that people have brought up this criticism. There's more than enough cars and people around to make it feel alive...at least 'video game' alive.
- Not huge actually but really dense. Not small either, I'd say fairly unsurprising in size but I was particularly impressed by just how much there is to do and how much more detail, care and attention has gone into the world vs WD1 and other Ubi open world games. This was clearly a focus for them.
- Not sure sorry, at work so I can't check and I'm not familiar with the US too much to know off the top of my head!
- Not sure also, been playing on the PS4 Pro personally. I imagine density is fairly similar?

I'm not going to follow it, I mostly posted it for the description explaining how the collectibles work :)

That makes sense :D

Any word on when the day one patch goes live? The game works fine most of the time but it could definitely use the fix.

Also wondering this too. All I hope is that it solves whatever the seamless online issues are so they can make sure that's enabled for launch. Haven't run into many other bugs other than that.

Also one negative thing about this game has to be its radio soundtrack. Honestly struggle to find anything I like when I'm driving around 95% of the time. Wish we could just play the game's soundtrack on the radio instead, which is awesome.

Nice. Thanks :) Sounds good.

Sausalito is on the northern end of the Golden Gate Bridge IRL. Just read that Marin is in - not sure if this is supposed to be Sausalito

Fairly low. We counted less than 40% of GTA and even WD1 crowds at times. There are sometimes where its good but its easily noticeable as less. There is a reason its the main question:(
The map is ok sized and as I have talked about in other videos they did a good job with the truncated map by keeping the verticality where they could. That leaves you with many avenues for egress if you need them that aren't the typical style which I liked
Not in name no.
I have all versions and i wouldnt say the difference is cast at all actually. Its pretty good on all with tradeoffs in IQ, LOD pop and so forth.

Thanks! Less crowds is disappointing :(

fake-edit: If no one else does, I will do the review thread.

It is but at least Ubi was awesome with the discussions and streaming they allowed. Not locked out of discussing this stuff like every other damned review ever. Hats off to them. They really are easier to work with than most and that openness allows for folks to be a bit more prepared and then move to the next hotpoint. I am sure folks will freak about something. But you get the drift.

Oh well. The rest of the bullet points are good enough for me. I just can't help myself but feel less immersed when an open world game does the busyness of it's world "wrong".

It reminds me of Madrid during vacation periods.

Other than the absolute center of the city, it gets pretty empty. during August for example.

But yeah, I wish there were more people and cars on the streets.

Karak, now that you seem to be allowed to speak openly, what was the cryptic message on the first page about different versions?

I was disappointed in the PS4 pro version from time to time in how it handled some aspects and it has some framey issues. I won't say that it was held back. I hate that shit and the normal version DO look good. But there were a lot of times I thought the PS4 pro should have been doing more and was having issues where is shouldn't HUGE judder in some cutscenes

Everything is hackable, even a vent hole cover...How can you hack something non digital? This is what I don't like in this game...

And I'm afraid that you can't finish the game without hacking non digital objects. But seems that you are forced to hack open every door and vent hole cover...so I think it's a little bit too much hacking
