Regarding the multiplayer part of the game where a player can jump into your game and start hacking you: is any random person allowed to do this at any time or is it just friends? Do you have to set your game to a public setting for this to happen?
Loved GTA IV driving, GTA V not so much.
Yes, they made the driving in V too easy and arcade style.Took some time to learn the driving in IV, but once mastered it was amazing. I am still playing IV from time to time just to drive around and do crazy jumps. Realistic driving mod on PC makes it even better.
There were a lot of complaints about GTA IV's driving mechanics and that it felt too realistic.
Proxy would probably work, but make sure the key is region free. Otherwise, you'll need to use a VPN to run the game every time, which is a hassle.
GetGamesGo is offering it for 44.99 if you'd prefer a less shady site, however I've gotten keys from those kinda sites before without a hassle.
The driving was far from bad but felt like a downgrade after GTA4 to me. On top of that they botched the destruction and damage model. Probably hardware limitations as they improved the engine so much in other areas.
Yea, emailed closer to launch
The destruction was great. It took more for the cars to get fucked up but they deformed way more than they did in GTA IV. And it actually affected the driving physics
Yeah, I just noticed that as well, and it's made my decision harder. I understand that Steam will just launch uPlay and start the game, but I like having all my games in the Steam library.
It only appears when you take out your phone I think.
That's because handling and how much damage you car get is based on the character skill. But like many other I still prefer the handling in IV
I found it to be decent. I love the random script npc has. Like a few minutes into the video the player walks to a patch of Gras and you see a kid npc humming and the dad npc plays the guitar and the mom npc encouraging the kid
edit...actually I don't think that's a kid lmao she's drinking a beer haha
Hack me if I'm late.
Ps3 version doesn't have a cockpit view lol.
Dumping uncompressed screens captured from a modded ps3 with a plugin. Both night and day screens.
Few things. Driving is boring other then the bike. Extremely forgiving and lame even more so then gta5. Look how much give they give you for brushing up against a car so you don't run into the back of it.
Damage modeling is just parts coming off mostly like gta3. You can view the screens below to see it.
I think it looks awful... but i thought gta 5 did as well so that's just my opinion.
In game Cutscene
Is there no PC streams/copies in the wild yet so we can get a good comparison? Seems lot's of people have the console game and are streaming but nothing regarding the PC version!
Edit: I'm not actually getting it on PC as my mates on ps4 want to have a blast with me on it but I'm just curious to how it holds up
There's definitely a difference but it would be nice to compare when the sun is setting in the same position.
no point, it's clear the volumetric lighting is gone, subsurface scatter on the ears gone, volumetric smoke/steam effects gone, wind toned down, overall world proportions are changed (more game like/less realistic)
