WB to shoot JUSTICE LEAGUE next year for 2015 release

JL vs. Avengers 2

DC Comics' superheroes can finally team up on the big screen following yesterday's legal victory for Warner Bros. in its long-running fight over the rights to Superman.

The studio is expected to accelerate development of a planned "Justice League" movie that would join Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman and other characters, according to a knowledgeable person not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.

Warner hopes to shoot the film next year and release it in the summer of 2015. The studio already has a "Justice League" script in the works. Next it needs to attach a director and then cast the lead roles.

This is probably going to suck, then they're never going to make another Justice League movie after all the trouble they had getting this one off the ground.

The studio's plan is to spin out other superheroes into their own movies following "Justice League." That's contrary to Marvel's successful strategy of teaming up Iron Man, Thor, Hulk and Captain America in "Avengers" (which became a global blockbuster) after each character had his own film.

Nah they'll just do the reverse of Marvel. Start off with the JL movie and then the individual movies for each character.

what? no i think they are going straight to JLA the movie after Superman. I dont even know if Hawkman would make the JLA movie

right now i see

Supes , GL, Flash, WW, Batman, and maybe another, thats 6 . Maybe it would be Hawkman but Martian Manhunter is one to consider.

Pretty sure they're starting the franchise with MoS then going straight to Justice League as a relaunch for all future movies.


They're all going to suck.
 
Alright, we finally secured the Superman rights! Now how do we best undermine the character we've just started re-building after so much trouble in the past?
 
A few years ago I thought the superhero movie bubble had kinda burst but man it came back with a vengeance and seems to never go away.
 
Curious to see if this Superman and Batman will have anything to do with the solo film versions. By solo Batman film I mean the reboot.

Either way, I'm excited to see how this turns out.
 
Good luck with that. It'd be cool if they pull it off, but I doubt it.

As of right now, the only superhero movie I care about is Man of Steel. Everything else that's announced doesn't interest me in the least.
 
Wally West and John Stewart or they can go to hell. Obviously they need a heavyweight villain, the generic alien invasion angle from Secret Origins would make it seem like a ripoff of Avengers.
 
Oh man. This movie is going to get slaughtered by Avengers 2 in 2015. Same release time frame etc. WB is retarded
 
Isn't this not connected to The Man of Steel? Hopefully audiences aren't confused when they see someone else as Superman.

There's no confirmation of that one way or the other. I very, very much doubt that they'd do it without Henry Cavill as Superman (unless Man of Steel flops hard).
 
Oh God, they just can't wait. I'm very cautious of this, they didn't have the build up like the avengers had. Going in cold seems like a really bad idea, especially with a largely fresh cast (granted that they have Henry Cavill as Superman).

What will it be, gadget-galore batman or super-genius-plans-for-everything batman?

Either way I don't think it'll turn out well as a live action thing..

(Biased cause he hates the JL portrayal of batman.)
 
NO SALE if it's an entirely different cast from the solo movies. If they want this to do well, they also have to make sure the solo movies aren't utter garbage like Green Lantern.

I have no confidence in DC to make it work.
 
This movie is gonna be so poorly put together , Marvel did it right releasing separate movies and then having it all come together in Avengers.
 
I assume man of steel is the starting point. just have a scene at the end like in iron man explaining something big is coming and that earth needs his help.

This is going to be Green Lantern all over again.

Having to introduce that many characters and a villain? It's going to be exposition overload and the whole thing is going to collapse on itself.
