The entirety of Blue and Pinkerton and the numerous b-sides and demos associated with it are amazing. That's way more than 5 songs. Some of the best 90's pop/rock you can get. But after that yeah they do suck, expect for the occasional good song every now and then.

You could do this with any moderately popular band.
Before you get all "OMG FOO FIGHTESR ARE THE BEST THING" on me, name 5 songs that aren't Best of You, Learn To Fly, Monkey Wrench, The Pretender or Everlong. Most people would struggle and the rest would probably go straight to My Hero or maybe Long Road to Ruin and have nothing left after that.

they're alright, I used to listen to them a lot when I was in high school and had a minidisc player. (lol) I don't listen to them so much anymore. Blue is a great album, their first album and pinkerton are pretty good too, after that there's maybe a few decent songs on each album? I guess I sort of like Maladroit.

Easily doable without googling. All of Pinkerton's CD is a master piece, as well as the blue album.
Their newer stuff isn't as bad ass as those two albums to me, but to dismiss all that great work doesn't make sense to me.

Honestly? I listened to Weezer all the time in high school. When their 4th album came out, I kind of stopped caring and moved on to other stuff.

I actually think a couple of songs from Green and Maladroit are pretty good. Most of Make Believe is shit and the Red Album is god awful though.

No, they're all crap post-Pinkerton. Really, it's just bad music. Derivative, boring, emotionless riff-rock with little substance or style. A couple good songs here and there but nothing substantial enough to produce a decent album.
Broken record, I don't like them after Blue and Pinkerton, some of the stuff off of Green is good though, etc.
My understanding is that few think Foo Fighters are particularly amazing (besides whatever Grammy's they win), unless you're being sarcastic. Many would probably apply the same thing from Weezer to Foo Fighters: the idea that they're getting worse, or that it's very easy to be cynical about them as a band.

They only album I've heard that really reminded of The Blue Album was the first album by Rooney (anyone remember them?) They pretty much suck now from what I can tell, but that record had the same pop/rock sensibility the Blue Album had.
Those kind of records to me, are really hard to find. Just good genuine pop/rock thats not fake or over produced but not obtuse for the sake of appealing to indie sensibility. Blue Album, Rooney's 1st Album, Saturation by Urge Overkill, Simpatico by Velocity Girl, maybe Become What You Are by Juliane Hatfield, those are just fun to listen to pop rock records.

The first Foos record is still the best thing Grohl has ever done post Nirvana. You know it, I know it, even he knows it. Is there a bad song on the first record? Big Me is overplayed at worst, its still better than most of anything he's done for most of the band (and I think Wasting Light is decent).
