Last year my son told me he wanted to watch some of my favourite movies from when I was a kid, so we have gone down that Rabbit Hole that never seems to end.

He now considers himself a 90s kid, stuck in modern times. So far we have watched

As soon as D+ comes out next week we are hitting the Disney library hard so Honey I Shrunk The Kids will be played. He’s already seen Roger Rabbit.

Many if the movies you suggest might be a bit mature for him yet (He’s 11) but he’s seen the Monster Squad and Back to the Future is on the list.

As an aside I find it funny that The Running Man takes place in 2019 and BTTF is 2017 it breaks the immersion a bit.

Probably more for you but as an Elm Street fan you should check out the documentary ‘Never Sleep Again’ which follows the behind the scenes of all the Elm Street movies and features most of the cast from each of the movies excluding a couple like Johnny Depp.

I’ve a shown him all of those, but as he gets older I will be pulling from your list. Plus he’s probably the only kid his age that has seen all the Fleischer Superman cartoons and all of Batman:The animated Series.

Is it much different then the nightmare encyclopedia “Never Sleep Again” that came with the box set?

i feel like they are 2 different documentaries that share the same name and subject.

It's about 4 hours long. If what you saw was that long then they are probably the same. If not, you're in for a treat!

Different I think. The one I was referring was spread over two discs.

I have to say kids are smArt now, my son said what if it’s all a Dream before Quaid even left for Mars. Here I wanted to ask him if it was real or a Dream after the movie ended, but he figured it out in the first 20 mins.

Sorry, I wrote that one wrong. It is "Heavenly Creatures" I meant. It was one of Peter Jackson's first big films. Done around the time of "Braindead" .

Jinnah. This one is about the founder of our country and one of Christopher Lee's best performances IMO. What's insane is how well he captures so many of his mannerisms especially some really subtle acting.

There were a lot of films that should be on my list . You are right, that is a fun film! Forgot "Mannequin", "Scrooged" and
"Electric Dreams" ...but my list was pretty good.
