I already sold my Xbox one S, got more than what it was new. I have no plans to get an XSX. My pro I'm not sure. I need to make sure all my ps4 games work on the ps5 first. If they do, I'll sell it others I'll keep it. I'm buying a ps5 . My Switch i barely use but will keep for botw2 and if Metroid comes out.

I've never been a collector or hoarder when it comes to gaming.

I have PS4 Pro and One X for consoles and I'm going PS5 only next gen. I will sell both of those when I get it.

Physical games I don't normally replay so I on sell them. I do buy digital games that are either dirt cheap on sale or a game that I like that has replay value like Modern Warfare online for example. I bought that digital because I play it on and off everyday. Ain't no time for swapping the disc out for that one all the time.

I own a ps4 and switch. They will both stay in their places when I will buy a PS5. Ps4 to play with friends without ps5 and switch to play with kids.

When they will become eventually useless they will be stored with all the other gaming stuff (starting from nes)

I'll keep it thinking I'll surely want to go back and play those games in the future, like with all consoles. I never do.

Well Series X will be compatible all the way back to OG so that's the games taken care of, and My One X will become my living room media box; 4k Player/TV Player/KODI/Youtube

PS4 Pro will move to my bedroom TV which is consoleless. OG PS4 will be taken by son when he goes off to University.

Since the missus has a very, very strange perception of value and money, and also dislikes clutter, I'm being invited to dispose of last-gen machines, both for economic gain and free space.

Plays with kids toys, in the adult gaming world
I don't own one but this would be a really good time to sell the Switch and wait for the pro model coming next year

not tag worthy
Sell it on eBay make fat stacks. Buy new games

Same thing here. At first I didn’t want to sell them but making some cash getting new games from things I don’t play anymore tbh. I think if I haven’t played then in ages would I really miss them ?

gonna trade in a few more 3DS games in get some vouchers and get some games via CEX in the U.K. I can order online also so more choice.

Don't matter, even PS5 and Xbox Series X have become "last gen" even before they arrived with that savage Nvidia announcement.

I've never built a PC gaming in my life, but I'm seriously tempted for the first time ever. This time there's just too much of a difference between PC and consoles just from the very start.

I have a ps4 original and a pro. Tomorrow I'm selling my pro with a controller to some guy for €280. Then I'm selling 2 controllers to CEX for €90. I'll keep my ps4 original and one controller.

There's no point keeping the Pro because the ps5 will be BC and for a rare exception I have the original ps4. Added bonus the original isn't a jet engine. So getting €370 from my current stuff I won't need in 2 months is making the ps5 seem very cheap.

X570, 3700x, 2070(not super). Amazing 4k or 1800p build for 60hz freesync 4k monitor.
Only have that 2070 since March last year and it's still good. Sad to see it will get old so fast

I'm gonna sell my pro to have a big discount on ps5.

Switch and xone take turn as doorblockers for now like they did in the past years.

I will buy a Series X and will keep all games, and continue to play them. I will sell the One X, and should be good.

I'll probably relegate the PS4 upstairs to become a Netflix machine. This will replace an old PS3 that I might throw off a bridge.

My Switch is Gen 9 already so it's not last gen, MS and Sony are just LTTP.

PS4 will remain where it is, especially because it'll be awhile before I bother with PS5. Nothing announced for it yet that I care about.

I rarely touch my PS3 anymore and the Wii U has replaced the Wii so it still gets some use.

I still game on my DS and 3DS. Not as much on the Vita and PSP, though I have backlogs there.

I have a PS4 Pro, XBONE 1X, and NSW.

I am going to buy a new Consul on day 1 (looking PS5 right now) and i am trying to figure out what i will do with all my current stuff as is is about to become "last gen"

I look at my PS3, 3DS & WIIU and games i never play and now no one wants, and do not want to keep going in this direction.. Keeping Stuff i doubt i will ever use beyond the point were they lose value.

I think i will sell them all, and am going to start prior to release. PS4p will most likely go tot he trade in PS5 deal.

On the weekend i Purged my PS4 Physical disk collection, Traded in 16 games to EB (Gamestop) with their more games more money promotion, Got $210 towards my PS5.
Tons of games i said i would replay or plat and never did and doubt i will now with a whole new Gen around the corner.

I have one game left on my switch i want to finish (New XBC) then i think i will sell that as well. Outside of a few RPGs i already beat i really dont play it much.
Not sure if i should keep the XBOX X as My $1 Game pass subscription, I am thinking i should sell it prior to Series X coming out,

This thread is about What are you going to do with your current get stuff that is about to become last Gen. and/or your upgrade path.

Play your PS4/XBOX1 another year? Keep your psychical disks as collectors items or Purge? Hit the trade up deals? Sell early ? Keep the PS4 XBOX for another room in your house.

What are you going to do with all this stuff that is about to become "old gen" ?

I dropped candle wax on my PS4 and a cup of Coffee so I guess no one wants it now... will probably keep it.

Continue playing it on Series X with better frame rate, loading times, tray racing, resolution, the list goes on and on. I think PS5 owners will have to buy everything again though, that sucks.

I’m trying to clear my backlog of PS4 physical games and I will sell them along with the console because even though PS5 is backward compatible with PS4, I plan to buy PS5/next-gen/upgraded only games going forward.

I’ll keep my Switch though until Nintendo next console as long as I can play the same games.

I gave my old OG XB1 away, after I bought the X1X. Will probably do the same to the X1X when I buy the XSX eventually.

Go Go Neo Rangers!
Not too long ago PS4 pros were hard to find, along with regular PS4's but the pros online price went up about 10-20 percent so I was able to flip mine for $300 after fees.

I have considered doing the same with my One X. I have a PS Edition Xbone X so they tend to go for a bit more, but I might just move that into the bedroom for its 4K blu Ray capabilities. Plus I just really like the look of the PS edition.

Most of my games are digital so I dont really have an option there and will just carry that over to the PS5 and XSX.

Every 10 years or so my mom gets a "new" old PC as her Email station.

And my libary of games gets a bump up in the graphics and fps department from the new hardware.

One of the great things about being into PC gaming is that nothing really becomes "last gen".
When you upgrade your hardware you still keep access to your entire library of past purchases, and they can look/perform better than ever going back to them.

That's the situation where digital distribution+BC fully shine - you just sell the old console, get a new one, and all your games are still there with you. But if you have a lot of physical copies, or additional accessories lying around, the best bet is to just sell a bundle for some attractive price to get rid of all the junk

I'm gonna use the known 'passing the torch' Gundam trope to both wife and son while I keep the new 'mobile suit' to myself.

Work on my backlog of stuff while all the bugs and obligatory hardware issues work out with PS5, games go down in price, library fills out etc. There's no compulsory timeline to jump on next gen just because it's a shiny new toy in the wild. Show me the games!

I keep everything now. I still like going back to my old games. A years ago I sold some of my old games and regretted it. I ended up buying a lot of them back, but at a higher price. Neo Geo Pocket/Color (hard finding games complete in the paper or plastic case), PS1, and Dreamcast games were a pain to find at a good price.
