4min starts Stolen Child. As I was listening the song got me thinking of Ukrainian children stolen by Russia.
Acknowledging they're remembered, looked for and ways home always open.🕯️

Where dips the rocky highland
Of Sleuth Wood in the lake,
There lies the leafy island
Where flapping herons wake
The drowsy water rats;
There we've hid our faerie vats,
Full of berries
And of reddest stolen cherries.
Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.

The wave of moonlight glosses
The dim gray sands with light,
Far off by furthest Rosses
We foot it all the night,
Weaving olden dances
Mingling hands and mingling glances
Till the moon has taken flight;
To and fro we leap
And chase the frothy bubbles,
While the world is full of troubles
And is anxious in its sleep.
Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.

And away with us he's going,
The solemn-eyed:
He'll hear no more the lowing
Of the calves on the warm hillside
Or the kettle on the hob
Sing peace into his breast,
Or see the brown mice bob
Round and round the oatmeal chest.
For here comes the human child,
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.

Olde Apocryphal Matt brings Joseph to the lyrics of a contemporary song through the ballads of ages according to wikipedia.

"On the Sixth day of January
My birthday will be
When the stars and the elements
Doth tremble with glee."
"When the stars and the elements
Doth tremble with glee."

The date is a time of astronomical solar quickening in the northern hemisphere as the sun moves more quickly from the rising/zenith/setting southerly points on the horizon than it has been at for weeks and accelerates northward.

Was listening to this on the way home. My CD player crapped out, so I was switching stations. Don't normally listen to country, but I was diggin' the lyrics.

Came home, just looked it up on YT, and once it started, I was like, wait, isn't that a Lynyrd Skynyrd song? And then I was like, no, that's fucking Knocking on Heaven's Door by Dylan. Man, I can't imagine how many times that progression has been utilized. Eh, it's a good hymn, and if it ain't broke... :D

I don't like most country but there are some really good country musicians out there.

I remember you liked the Beths too so maybe our tastes are similar?

It's winter, so ever since fall started I've been listening to nothing, but Black Metal. This is the only time of year I can listen to it. It really fits the mood/weather. Is anyone else like that? Where they'll only listen to certain kinds of music based on the weather. For example in Summer I listen to a lot of Electronic music and Death Metal. Winter and Fall is Black Metal. Spring is kind of a mix between the 2 depending on how it is outside. In any event I've been making my way through Graveland's discography most recently. Really good stuff!
