this album:
Ayreon - Transitus (Prog Metal)

the narrator on this concept album is non other than Tom Baker!!! aka. the 4th Doctor!

haven't listened all the way through yet but I like it so far, it's way more operatic than the other Ayreon albums tho.

Just stumbled upon the Kazakhstan music scene for like 6 hours to discover they have the most skilled singer alive in the world today, with the largest range and they put on concerts straight out of Cyberpunk 2077 lol. Been an interesting night on the internet. Watched like 20 different vocal experts explain what this guy is doing with his voice.

Me too,

Not impressed though. I prefer his older work.
yeah, definitely not his best work. I still like it tho

there had to eventually be an album of his that I am not 100% fanboying over I guess...
this is very unusual for me, even my most favorite bands like Orden Ogan or Blind Guardian have tons of songs or even full albums that I really don't like or even hate almost.
so far, basically everything Arjen Lucassen has released I loved to death, this is the first album I am a bit meh on, but still I don't dislike it unlike with other artists/bands.

speaking of him tho, I was in the mood to listen to a full playthrough of his solo albumd "Lost in the New Real", which I'm currently doing.

this album also had a famous narrator on it. non other than Rutger Hauer! May his soul rest in in cyberspace!

his character is called Voight Kampff btw. xD very subtle there lol
