What do you have reserved?

Seriously why would you pre-order stuff? The only games that need to be pre-ordered are Zelda GTA and Halo. And then you always wait till the bonus is announced.

I only pre-order imports because if I don't, I'll completely forget if they're released.

Devil May Cry 3 SE and Maverick Hunter are rather tricky to get a hold of. I think it's better to prorder something you know you want.

MGS3:SE, Zelda

Flame, the reason I preorder is so I can get them paid for in advance (I pay in full) and not have to worry about finding the $ when game time arrives, I just grab it and go.

Just this weekend I saw like 9 copies of Maverick Hunter (got one myself) and 5-6 copies of DMC3 SE at Best Buy. I understand different areas of the country have different stock levels, though.

Another good reason to is that Play-Asia, I don't know who you use but I use Play-Asia, anyway Play-Asia will often get in imports ahead of the actual street date, and they'll ship them while you're asleep, so some mornings I get up and as if by magic a game that's not even out yet is already flying across the ocean to meet me for clandestine sex.

Nintendo DS Lite
Children of Mana

It's not out yet but even then, he ordered online...so it'll most likely come with the game
Oh I completely missed the .com. I just recently started using GameCrazy since it's closer to work than everything else and their system doesn't even have Subsistence Limited Edition in it, and none of the employees have heard about Saga. I have to explain the third and fourth discs every time I call to ask about them. It's horrible, it's made me so paranoid that I won't get either of them :(

I never understood people who seem to get upset that people pre-order games. I mean, why do you even give a shit what other people do with their money?

I remember these same idiots mocking those that pre-ordered their 360s saying that you could just "walk into Wal-Mart or Target" on launch day and pick one up.

Whoops!

Yeah, I'd be pretty worried if I was in the same situation. Luckily when I preordered it last week, the dude knew about the Saga and everything. And then he asked me if I wanted to preorder the LE version (which was just added to their system) and assured me they'll hold a copy of Saga for me

I just hope they got enough copies around for all preorders

Uh, about 1001% of the arguments here stem from what other people do with their money. :P

This is a unique thing though. Something that a normal person would pay no mind to always has someone stating the same "I don't know WHY people pre-order games. It's stuuuuupid!"

Eh, just curious about the motivation I guess.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Omg put it in me I can't wait much longer for this fucking game...Oblivion...collector's edition.

edit:
with Bonus Pack: Please Break my Addiction to WoW

MGS3:LE has those discs!

Sorry guy, it's Metal Gear. Maybe if it were a movie or something I'd watch them, but Kojima games are a borefest for me.

That said - I might pick up MGS3:Rehash when it lands in the bargain bins thanks to it ditching the crap fixed camera angles and Rowdy Reiko! :P

But I can agree - the rare good pre-order bonus is always incentive to pre-order. Fortunate for me, there aren't a whole lot of those. ^_^

For this week alone:
RE:DS
Tales of Eternia
Breathe of FIre 3

for March:
Oblivion
MGA2
MGS3:S
Me and MY Katamari
Ys Ark of Nephistim (not so sure about this now...)
GRAW
Kingdom Hearts 2
Metroid Prime Hunters (maybe)

Daxter: I love the Jak games, and think they're the most solidly put together titles ever released on the PS2. Despite myself I found I actually liked Daxter, and though it's a different team woring on this PSP game, they look to be carrying over the ND tradition of technical exellence.

Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror
: Some say this'll be the PSP's long awaited killer app. I don't know about that, but I do know I want this game more than any other right now. It just looks to be the total package, extensive single player, robust multiplayer and gorgeous graphics.

They'll be available in abundance. One is a GH title, which will be popping up everywhere in big quantities once the bigger chains sell off all of the regular editions. The other, is the best game on the PSP so far, and it's only had a smaller print run because they weren't sure how well it would do after the MMX Collection release. More is definitely on the way!!

I'll be pre-ordering MGS3:S LE for the online portion. Most likely Zelda, if it is true that there is going to be a collector's edition. Maybe, just maybe, ES:Oblivion CE for 360. If it really is a LE, that is.

I think the point he was trying to make is that they aren't very available NOW.

DMC3:SE should be. You have to ask at the bigger stores since they'll horde them in the back until the regular version sells out.

Maverick Hunter is out in abundance around my parts.
