I meant that I want to see them doing an expansive 3D platformer like Odyssey. They did damn near Mario quality in the past with Going Commando and A Crack in Time, I'd much rather see them doing a bonkers mascot platformer than anything else.

Right now it feels like Odyssey raised the bar for platformers and yet there isn't really any competition because nobody else is doing it. If Sony were to do an extremely high production value platformer, Insomniac would be the best choice (well, second best choice, but I think Sucker Punch bringing back Sly is even more unlikely).
And there is a hat in time too :pie_thinking:

Never played it, but resistance looks pretty cool, and apparently with Resistance 3 ending there's still some stuff left to do.

Spider-Man was good, nothing amazing but I think it has huge potential and I think they'll get it right next time.

Less open world trash and more tightly designed missions.

Which is beautiful, but I meant a AAA game. A Hat in Time is great, but the budget just wasn't there.
I don't think we'll ever see a AAA 3D platformer that isn't Mario. Publishers probably think that these games are not worth the investment anymore, unless you are Nintendo.

important to keep in mind that Imsomianc seems to be able to work on at least 2 games at the time, at least they being doing so for a really long time now.

True and it's so sad, there's plenty of room for more 3D platformers. Look at the hype around Mario Odyssey, if you do a good game it's going to sell well and besides, cartoon platformers don't require the largest budget in the world.
