What happened to the GAF twitch thread?

Just yesterday there was a thread with a list of GAF twitch streams, I know it's a fine line between sharing and self promotion and we have to watch out.

Well people were saying from the start that it wasn't a good idea. It was recommended to make it as unaffiliated with GAF as possible but they did pretty much did the opposite of that with the name and the website...

Wow. That is overly harsh. I think OP and other people even PM'd mods to see if what they were doing was okay and never got a response back.

Definitely feels harsh considering the OP always was a chill and collected guy. He tried reaching out but apparently no one responded, and sites like HaloGAF.com exist, so figured it would have been okay.

A perman ban too, idk.. He said he would have shut everything down had they disapproved, so it's a shame ;\

Wow, that's definitely overkill. It's weird to not respond and then just ban the guy. It was a great idea, too. At least the site got up and running.

What was the problem, exactly? It sounds like there is something we aren't aware of.
