What Mobile Browser Are You Using?

Naked Browser Pro

what the heck is Naked Browser?

An Android browser that's only 272KB in size. Yes, 272 kilobytes.
It uses Android's built-in web browsing engine (Android System WebView), which is itself based on Chrome.
It has no extra permissions and doesn't spy on your browsing activity.
Its minimal nature makes it easy on battery life compared to e.g. Firefox (from my experience).
Its main downside is that the UI has a bit of a learning curve.

I bought the Pro version (using Google survey money) because Naked Browser is that good.

Sounded great, but there's no incognito :/

On Android mostly Chrome, occasionally Firefox.

The opposite to PC where I use mostly Firefox and occasionally Chrome.

I was using Opera, I loved the layout.

But when I clicked on a YouTube/twitter/Instagram/etc link, it would open a webpage instead of opening the app.

So I'm back to chrome.

Chrome still doesn't offer ad blockers on iOS to my knowledge, so Safari it is for when you need those terrible sites blocked.

Samsung's internet broswer.
Better battery life, ad block, and is overall a better experience compared to chrome.

Samsung Internet Browser beta. It's the best one on Android IMO. I'm glad they made it work on most phones now so if you haven't checked it out, please do so and you'll be shocked at how good it is.

When that wasn't working, Lightning Browser+ was my pick. A lot of people don't even know about it, which is a shame because it's also one of the very best browsers on Android. Light weight and fast. Also comes with an ad blocker right out of the box.

I use Firefox because I need my addons. Particularly the one that unbreaks background video playback on YouTube.

Safari on my iPhone so I can get ad blocking with Purify.

uhhh... you have heard of the App Store haven't you? You can download other browsers for iOS like Chrome from there.

Actual web browsers are banned from the iOS App Store. All "browsers" available are really more like skins for Safari.

Aren't they all inhibited due to Apple's restrictions? Or is that no longer the case?

It's still the case. They are skins over the Safari webview.

Firefox android is good. Allows you to use an ad blocker which helps stop all those page hijacks.

And if you use a user agent spoofer for Google like this:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/chrome-ua-on-google-android/

You can get the chrome/Safari Google experience rather than the shitty one that Google gives Firefox users. I imagine to make them use chrome.

Dolphin on iOS. Just found it pretty slick. Still plug on through Safari when email or IM links open the 'default' browser, but otherwise, yeah. Dolphin.

Chrome on Android and Safari on iOS. Pretty basic. I occasionally switch to Firefox on Android for the adblock when I run into a mobile site that has those annoying letterbox ads on the top or bottom. More likely I will just not use the website anymore, though.

Chrome
I like feeling creeped out when I start typing something and it autofills with something I searched for on my laptop a month ago

Chrome Canary for Android. Love having the URL bar at the bottom part of the screen instead of the top.

You can do this in Chrome stable, you just have to change something in the flags menu. That puts it lierally at the bottom of the screen though, not in the middle like yours.

I use Safari purely because it handles going back/forward a page so much better than Chrome. You can instantly return to the previous page rather than having to wait for it to reload.
