Did the right thing
Well first off im 5'11, and 180 pounds. In high school I was wearing Large sized shirts and jeans that were 36/32. Basically I was wearing my clothes oversized, even though I didnt realize it at the time. But after that I started to wear medium sized shirts, and jeans that were 33/32. Now I think that this is a regular fit, but sometimes I still find my clothes looking more "baggy" than my friends who are my height and weight, and some even taller. They are wearing small t shirts, and jeans that are 31/32.

I can fit into these sizes but the shirt doesnt go down very far. In fact when I sit down, you could see the lower part of my back. If I were to lift my arms, the shirt would start to show some belly.

I know most people will say, to just wear what feels comfortable and fits, but am I missing something here? Is wearing small shirts with skinny jeans the trend? I start to feel fat or too big when I wear medium shirts, and straight pants, when my friends are wearing small shirts and skinny jeans.

What sizes do you wear?

I'm 6'4" 235 - I wear XL shirts and size 40/34 :( pants.

And I believe my dress shirts are generally 17.5 or 18 neck, 34/35 XLarge

I wear small sized shirts, the only issue I have with them is that some of them are not long enough. Medium is a little too baggy for my tastes. I'm 5'10", about 150lbs. American Apparel shirts have the best fit though, love them. :D

It also annoys me when video game pre-orders only offer L or XL sized shirts. I have an amazing shirt from the Mega Man Collection pre-order that I can't wear because it's an XL.

6' 5" and about 198 pounds. Large shirts and 38/36 pants depending on the brand. I used to wear my clothes a lot baggier. Now I like things that fit.

Well, im not to sure what size dress shirts I wear. I tend to just go for the small, medium, or large type sizes for those. I like the "modern" look of dress shirts, like those from express for men, with their "slim fit" shrits, but damn. I once tried a small and holy crap, Im way to fat, where as the medium fits a bit tight.

What size jeans do you wear?

5'11" 215 lbs
Large T-shirts
36/30 jeans (though right now some of my pants are 38 waist...need to get a smaller belt), but a lot of my khakis have a 32" inseam and that works.

6'1", 145lbs
T-shirts: M to L (Mostly L.)
Sweaters: M to L (About 50/50.)
Pants: Typically 35/34 (The extra waist room is a preference of mine. I only have one pair of jeans and I don't know what the measurements are for that. I rarely wear jeans.)

5' 7" 160lbs
Pants: 36/30 (They are a little loose. I'm in the process of losing weight and in a few pounds I'll probably be in 34/30's)
Shirts: Large (I'll probably switch over to a couple Mediums once I lose a couple pounds as well)

It is very weird being on the cusp of 2 sizes because nothing ever fits properly. You either have pants that are so loose they fall down without a belt or they are so tight you won't be able to have children in the future.

So true. I really like that GAP has odd as well as even sized pants/jeans for this reason

I am 5'11, 188 lbs. I wear my pants 34-32 (33-32 would be ideal, but I can never find them in that size) and I wear large t-shirts.

i converted my scientific measurements into those american ones, and apparently i am 5.7" and 147lbs
I wear S or M and 30 to 32 size pants depending on brand and fit

I'm 5'7" 165lbs.

My sizes:
Pants 33/29. (Fits perfectly but hard to find this particular size)
Shirts: Usually around Medium. Sometimes small if I want a tight fight. Dress shirts around a size 15.

Grr... Why can't I wear 33-30 at my height! Everyone else seems to be fine at 5'7" with 30 length but they are just a bit too long for me. Damn my legs!!

32/32 pants, small/medium shirts. Like the shirts to be somewhat tighter.

Exactly the same for me.

I tend to buy shirts that are slim fit, they look much better.

I think it depends on the style of jeans/pants. I've seen some pants that were waaaay too long at 30 and others that were waaaay too short. I think you just have to find what brand/style you like and figure out whatever size fits you in that style. I've learned the hard way that you can't just know your size and walk into a store and buy that pair of pants without trying them on.

140 5'8"
Small usually (some brands obviously run smaller or bigger)
30"

You can also big a big boy and get your shit tailored. A lot of pants are going to be cut long so that they can be sold to a wide range of heights.

I wear clothes that are loose and dark colors because I am slightly overweight for a guy my height 6'2 probably somewhere over 210+ lbs. But I am no Kevin Smith :lol

I tend to be lazy buying new clothes so my clothes are pretty grungey, and they are not plaid.

6'1 / 210lbs

Shirts either L or XL depending on the shirt. Lifting weights makes a lot of shirts fit awkwardly in the shoulders / arms, so I end up going with XL on a lot of stuff, since the style of cut for a lot of brands is to make the arms tiny in size L stuff.

Pants I wear 34/32

6'3", 185 lbs

L shirts
34x34 pants

34L dress pants fit me well, but sometimes 34L jeans are too short, which sucks because 34 is generally the longest length stores have.

5'7"
145lbs
Sz M and L (XL in Japanese brands, which run small)
31/30 (I can fit smaller but I like looser fitting jeans)

I guess my shirts are big being a Large, but I'd rather be comfortable than wear a shirt that ends before my waist. I also have broad shoulders so Large shirts fit me much better.

184 cm, 70 kg (holy shit I've lost too much weight):

34/32 for jeans. When I buy them new, they're pretty much the perfect fit. After a month or so when they get more loose, they're a little oversized but only a little.

For shirts, either medium or large. Hard to say because some Ls are the same as some Ms. Usually L tho.

Mostly M which is a right pain when you find a nice top on sale and find it only available in the other sizes.

Sometimes I get S for a tighter fit and L for looser weekend wear.

6'1", 165-170lbs

I wear a 34x34 pair of jeans, and T-Shirts are usually XL or XXL because it seems as that they shrink and/or run smaller than advertised a lot.

6' @ 180lbs
shirts: M for North American Brands, L for Euro brands
pants: waist 34, leg 32 or 30 depending on the brand
shoe: 10 NA size, 43 Euro size

Do you really expect people to come in here and be like, "Yeah, I wear air brushed wolf t-shirts and clothes from ThinkGeek, all in XXXXL."

well, i'm short (5'5", 130lbs) so i go 30x30 on jeans.

but for shirts, i have two different styles i go for.
polo's and soccer jerseys i go for medium because i like the tighter fit.
t-shirts i go for large because it looks better on me.

6'4 220

I usually go with XL shirts even though most of them feel a bit baggy. XL with a trimmer fit works well.

Pants are annoying. I don't own any of them that fit well. 32 length is too short but 34 is too long. I end up getting 35/34 and cuffing up the leg, otherwise I end up walking on them

5'10"
26/32 pants.

I am quite thin with long legs.

Most annoying shit in the world is distant relatives buying me clothes. My dad is 6'4" so I keep getting the "he'll grow into it" spiel. Aaaargghh, no I won't!
