Thanks for putting so much work into these threads. I use them to see what I'll be watching. Very appreciated, Ratsky. Oh boy, lets see.

OLD STUFF
Anne with an 'e' - Kinda cheating since I'm currently watching the CBC broadcast. Good show
Insecure - Loved Season 1
The Bachelorette - Count me in for the first 5 episodes, at least
Game of Thrones - Yep!
Halt & Catch Fire - Show has improved upon itself every year, so I'm in.
Lady Dynamite - Maria Bamford is a treasure and I thought the first season was one of the funniest things on Netflix

NEW STUFF
GLOW - I'll give it an episode or 2.
I Love Dick - Read an article about this, so I'm curious.
The Mist - Morbid curiousity
Hooten and the Lady - LOL, what kinda uncharted/romancing the stone/indiana jones nonsense is this?! I'm in
The Defenders
Britannia - I know this probably won't be as good as it looks/sounds, but I'm curious
Hard Sun - This sounds like Low Winter Sun UK. Only reason I might watch is Neil Cross being involved.

Usually in Summer I pick up a show, it ends up being crap and I drop it after 2 episodes. But all these streaming services might change that.

Sense8 - No brainer.

Anne with an E - Doubt I'll watch it all but I am curious.

Downward Dog - Alison Tolman gets at least a glance from me.

12 Monkeys - Hopefully this sticks the landing.

Twin Peaks - Only a crazy person would skip this.

Shadowhunters - B-movie-esque good time. If the time sink becomes too much this will be one of the first to go though.

Wynonna Earp - Oh yeah, it is has been too long since I've set sail on my Waverly+Haught ship.

Orphan Black - No brainer.

Blood Drive - THIS IS GOING TO BE AMAZING. Or terrible.

The Mist - Zero hope this will be good.

GLOW - More curious than hyped for this.

Preacher - I liked the first season more or less, enough to give it a second go.

Zoo - The most important love story of our time, between the world's best and only action-veterinarian and the most important and shockingly normal everywoman to ever grace our airwaves continues!

Killjoys - The superior summer Syfy spaceship show.

The Defenders - Made it this far, might as well see it through.

I was really hoping there wasn't going to be so much that I am interested in this year.

The Story of China - PBS

This might be quite good? I've got fond memories of Woods's "In The Footsteps of Alexander The Great", which actually got me into ancient history and Greek/Roman classics in the late '90s. But the couple of other series I've happened across with him presenting, he seemed far less assured than that one, and with less authority, so... Could go either way.

Otherwise, 12 Monkeys, Twin Peaks, The Wizard of Lies and The Tick (at least for the first episode or two). House of Cards as well, if I can binge watch, um... most of the previous seasons.

Game of Thrones and The Last Ship naturally. Potentially The Mist and Glow if I remember, and Scream if they undo their fuckup.

The "musts" for me are GoT, Sense8, and, Twin Peaks. Along with everything that's airing now and continuing into May and June (i.e. American Gods, The Americans, Silicon Valley, Handmaid's Tale, Fargo, The Leftovers, Better Call Saul). Might also catch up on the last two seasons of House of Cards depending on how the new season fares with critics.

Otherwise, I'll be mostly chasing after my (massive) backlog while keeping an ear to the ground on new stuff. 'Snowfall' in particular sounds very promising.

Edit:

Very nice work putting all this together, by the way! Much obliged.

Hmm, there doesn't seem to be much for me this Summer, which is probably the first time I haven't had a lot to look forward to since I started getting into TV shows a few years back. I'll definitely catch Twin Peaks and The Defenders.

But that gives me plenty of time to catch up on so many shows that I have been planning on watching for a long time, so I'm pretty happy about this.

I see there is a show about Jamestown now.... so, they do know that people became so desperate they resorted to cannibalism in that colony, right?
It's basically the other go-to example of what happens when you starve people, the other one being the Soviet experiment fitting called "cannibal island". I hope they didn't go in with a "oh well, who'd notice anyway", like all that Columbus crap where they don't show him being a raging psychopath.

Oh I'm sorry, did I just ruin that? Oh no what a shame. /s

edit: okay, why the hell did they actually have Jessica Jones turn her ass towards the camera as if they learned nothing from why people keep posting that? Isn't JJ's show about her having been... oh you know, I'm sure it will be fine. No male gaze or anything. Nope, all fine.

I'll be trying out The Mist and The Tick, but everything else seems a by-the-number shit dumbtruck. Maybe that puppet show if it's ballsy enough, but I doubt that.
Dear lord, this is all safer than safe. How dull.

How does Steve Harvey keep getting work?

I'm really excited for American Gods tonight. I had really boring tedious work for a couple of weeks and that audio book was one of the things that helped get me through it.

I also can't wait for Twin Peaks. I really hope it doesn't disappoint.

They usually land in random spots. They signed a deal with Showtime's programming not too long back, so it's a possibility that Showtime may get their programming in return, especially they did Penny Dreadful and Guerrilla together! But I don't know for certain if that's an ongoing thing or not, just a guess. But you can be certain their line-up will end up over here in some form or another!

Not a lot of new stuff catching my eye after a quick look, but I will keep an eye on what critics and TV-GAF thinks is worth watching. Here is the stuff I plan to watch this summer.

Returning Shows
Game of Thrones
You’re the Worst
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Rick and Morty
Halt and Catch Fire
Master of None
Casual
Playing House
Preacher
Scream
Survivor’s Remorse
UnReal (not sure if I'll be back for this one to be honest)

Will Watch if I Catch Up on Them
Twin Peaks
Bloodline
Orange is the New Black
Vikings

New Shows
Hooten and the Lady (I've never heard of this, but I love adventure fiction like this. Hope this is good. Looks pretty cool!)
The Defenders
The Tick
GLOW

For me, it's looking like:

May

Sense8
The Last Kingdom (though, it's already put up weekly here in Canada, so, y'know, just need to get to it)
I Love Dick
Master of None
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Twin Peaks
Bloodline
House of Cards

June

Orange is the New Black
Orphan Black (hope to be caught up in time!)
Blood Drive
The Mist
GLOW
Preacher

July

Game of Thrones

August

The Defenders
The Tick

I'm absolutely terrified of more being added to that list, especially with everything already airing.

It's not being billed as the final season, but it could be a situation of audiences finding out it's the final season as they watch (or it gets spoiled by binge watchers, haha). Season four was a step up after the third season was disappointing (for me, at least), hope you like it!

How dull.

WTF, why would you post spoilers?

Lucifer
Master of None
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Orange is the New Black
Orphan Black
Killjoys
The Defenders

A pretty small list unfortunately but at least it'll be easy to manage.

New Shows
Hooten and the Lady (I've never heard of this, but I love adventure fiction like this. Hope this is good. Looks pretty cool!)
It's a really fun show.

The lack of television over the summer is actually fine considering the amount of stuff I have to get through this month alone.

Game of Thrones
Insecure
Defenders
House of Cards is all.

I was looking through the list of new shows and stopped immediately when I saw Cormoran Strike. Didn't know it had finally become a show, and will ABSOLUTELY be watching! :D

No longer boycotting the Wolfenstein franchise
Nice job with the thread, as always!

What I'll attempt to immediately make time for:
Game of Thrones
Lady Dynamite
Playing House
Rick & Morty
Sense8
You're the Worst

What I'll try / get around to when I have time:
Another Period
Master of None (still not quite done S1)
Snowfall

If I somehow have even more time, catching up on other stuff from the spring.

and... I also have to watch The Defenders because my girlfriend works/worked on it. I've only seen the Jessica Jones premiere and half of a random Luke Cage episode, so she'll have to [happily] fill me on stuff.

Oh wow, had no idea Candy Crush would air already. Well, that's another show I'll give a watch. Will probably not be something I follow though.

Based on the list....

May - The Keepers, Twin Peaks (aka most anticipated show ever) and Bloodline
June - Flaked (sort of a hate watch) and Fear The Walking {total hate watch, but my GF loves both shows)
July - nothing
August - nothing

Also, my girlfriend and I are currently watching The Leftovers for the first time. We just finished S1, which we loved. So it seems like we will watch S2 and get caught up on S3 in time to watch the last couple of episodes live.

- Bloodline - Netflix - Final Season
- House of Cards - Netflix
- Flaked - Netflix
- Hark Knocks - HBO - 10/9c
- Halt and Catch Fire - AMC - Final Season
- You're the Worst - FXX

Any word on the second season of Top of the Lake? Wasn't that supposed to debut in the spring/summer?

Sense 8
Masters of None
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
House of Cards
Kingdom
Orange is the New Black
Preacher
Suits
Game of Thrones
The Defenders
Episodes
The Tick
Broad City

Damn, that's a whole lot of Netflix!
