Whatcha Been Playin': Seriously, What Are You Playing Right Now Edition

I just beat UC4 on Friday and also Gravity Rush actually. I think I am going to try and get through Affordable Space Adventures by the time TW3 comes out. Then my gaming schedule is booked for at least the next 6 months with that, No Man's Sky, then Deus Ex. It's gonna be glorious.

Rise of the Tomb Raider on PC - having a great time. They fixed pretty much every problem I had with TR2013, and I actually really enjoyed that game. I'm almost ready to call this the best Tomb Raider game to date.

Just Finished Uncharted 4, stuck Dark Souls 3 back in. Out of practise getting battered.
Also playing more Battleborn than is healthy, Meltdown mode is my new jam.
Will buy Overwatch hopefully today and I fancy a bit of Downwell on PS 4.

Currently enjoying the hell out of Quantum Break and wondering why it was so criminally underrated. Will carry on with Doom afterwards. Played the first level of that.

Finished U4 on Hard and started Doom for collectibles and such... but... Battlefield 4 and Overwatch are on the doorstep so those will probably dominate my late May/June/July.

Just replayed the first two Gears games and finally played 3 and Judgment. Now replaying the first two Sly games (on Sly 2 right now) and plan on catching up with the rest of that franchise as well.

Played Gears series on XB1, Sly collection on Vita, and Sly 4 on PS3 or Vita (haven't decided which yet).

I started playing Canis Canem Edit (Bully) last night. Only about an hour in but it's still really great. One of my favourite R* games, and besides controls which feel a little clunky by today's standards it's really great. Bullworth Town is one of my favourite open worlds, and it has a really fun vibe and some excellent side-missions and mini-games.

Battleborn Beta PS4 - This is two different modes pasted together into a mess. MOBA which is the simplest MOBA I have ever played and a raid type gameplay. Both of them seem like bad Borderlands 2 mods. Nope.

Overwatch Beta PS4 - This is a good quality Team Fortress 2 type game. Silly amount of very different classes which is overwhelming at first. I am pretty sure it is imbalanced which is inevitable but it will be fine as long as everyone doesn't do the same character:

I had fun but still not going to buy as it seems to pricey for the amount of time before I get bored of it.

Party Hard PS4 - Not very good 2D stealth type game. Here is a video on it:

Table Top Racing PS4 - Real PS+ turd. Beach Buggy Racing is a better kart game.

Ratchet and Clank PS4 - Amazing. My love for this series has returned.

The Golf Club PS4 - I got it for $5 and it is not bad. I think EA's game is better overall because TGC's controls, gameplay, and looks are just not as good. TGS does a lot of things better including playing against friends ghosts, course editor with fast downloading of user created courses and less unnecessary crap. Still both games look and run like poop. I thought we would be better with golf games in 2016. Save me Hot Shots.

Scrabble PS4 - For licenced Ubisoft bare minimum standard fare it is not bad. It is not as bad as Boggle.

ALIENATION PS4 - This is a good game but my least favorite Housemarque game and I played them all as a fan. I like loot games but it seems tacked on here and not fun. Playing alone is impossible and playing online with someone is too easy. Helldivers did a lot of this better. Probably disappointment of the year.

HQ36VFV.jpg

A Virus Named Tom Vita - This is a boring circuit puzzle game that you need solve Pac Man style without getting hit by a ghost. I did not like it.

Jrh8Let.jpg

Risk of Rain Vita - This roguelike is OK. Dropping the difficulty made the game a lot more fun. Takes a little while to get use to C64 era platforming physics, and gameplay of waiting for a gun to recharge and dodging most of the time.

Star Wars Games:
Jedi Starfighter - Yes. The lack of space fighter games these days wants an updated game like this.
Racer Revenge - Yes. This is way harder than I remember.
Bounty Hunter - Nope. This is a mess of controls, bad camera, and hard to look at graphics.

Mr. Pac Man PS4 - It is still a classic. I appreciate the no fluff and how quickly they load. Good price. I want more of these classic games I have already bought 10 times already.

Need to finish Uncharted 4 for but it is amazing so far. I bought Homefront (haven't played yet) with an Amazon pre-sale discount instead of Doom because I make poor decisions.

Jet Set Raaaaaaaaaadiooooooooooooooooo

I found out that this game is on steam and I never played it but I know it's a cult classic.
Bought it and so far I love it. Got to the part right after you got back from the flashback missions and have done two of the three golden rhinos missions. Looks like I'm already near the end, appearently.

And damn, that soundtrack is absolutely amazing. A wonderful mix of everything, but especially Instrumental Jazz-Influenced Hip-Hop.
Yes, the controls show its age and aren't great, and the QTE-like spraying mechanic for bigger grafitti can get boring quick, but so far I love it. And Professor K is amazing, I just want to finish the missions just to hear him ramblin'.
(Found the image on steam by a certain Alex, credit where it's due)

I began the month with the turd called Skyward Sword. After giving up on it, I bought a new 3DS. For the first week I was submerged in Shantae and the pirate's Curse, followed by Super Metroid on the second one.

At the same, I got cravings for Final Fantasy X HD on PS4, although I can't play it a lot (commute gamer). So at the moment I'm trying to advance on Persona 4G.

Wow, talk about a busy month.

Dipping between Soul Sacrifice Delta and Overwatch.

The former I've had in my backlog for yonks but something about it just grabbed me recently. Solid MonHun Lite that should tide me over until Generations. Helps I have a mate who got into it recently as well haha.

Overwatch I love. Lucio is my husbando. Blizzard polish all over and just lovely to play.

Finished the PSN port of Sonic The Hedgehog 2 last night.

Loved it, was a hardcore SNES fanboy growing up and even though I became a massive Sega fan as well later on in life I never really gave the early Sonic games the credit they deserved until now.

Now I need to go back and finish the first game!

a mix of star wars battlefront, gta v, rocket league, and disney infinity. just waiting on Witcher 3 Blood & Wine to drop.

i've completed GTA V main story so just clearing up any side quests. this is my 4th playthrough of it so it's quite boring now. i hate the ones where you need to go to the weed guy and kill the clowns or the one you have to drive around shooting real estate signs. i don't understand how rockstar thought this would be enjoyable.

battlefront and rocket league are just games i play to pass a bit of time. can get a few matches in real quick. as for disney infinity, well that's finished now so once i am done my star wars playsets i'll be done with it.

once i finish Witcher 3 Blood & Wine then i'm gonna pick up Uncharted 4 and Doom. After that I will go back to Dark Souls 2 on PC and maybe pick Overwatch up.

Syphon Filter, which I hadn't played in a long time but decided to go through again. Enjoyed myself with that. I couldn't believe how much I remembered from the game and how much I had forgotten.

Also I finished Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars for the first time ever, the Director's Cut version of it and that was fun, if a little frustrating in some parts. But I could see myself grabbing the second one in that series and playing through that.

Now I'm thinking about going restarting my trek through the old Tomb Raider games, since I meant to return back to them after finishing the first two without just using the level skip cheat. So hopefully I'll be messing around with Tomb Raider 3 soon.

Also Punch Club is pretty great.

I'm flying today so I played some Mario Golf World Tour on the first flight and I'll either play Killzone Mercenary or start Grim Fandango on the next.

I am a few treasures away from Platinuming Uncharted 4.
2/3rds through Ratchet and Clank and
halfway through Doom and getting my multiplayer kicks from Overwatch.

Just to many good games at the moment!!!

Need to get back to The witcher 3 as only just got past the Baron section (and starting to enjoy the game.)

Dark Souls 3
Im not going to skip out on a single minute of this game...even though Uncharted 4 is still wrapped up in my cabinet.

Finished Uncharted 4 today.. At 3:00 am. Did the last four chapters in a single session while everyone was asleep at home. What a great finale!

Also been playing R:6 Siege (my current MP game).

Worshipping this game right now. Hadn't played it before and it's really damn good. It's been literally ages since I played Metroid on NES so I can't remember a single thing any way.

Controls, graphics, flow and surprise factors are just utterly top notch, it's fantastic. That it seems like it'll be pretty damn short is my only gripe I guess but we'll see.

Replaying Super Metroid afterwards.

Right now, still playing Dark Souls III. Just finished
Champion Gundyr
and about to fight the
Dragonslayer Armor
. It's way more fun than DS1 and DS2 (neither of which I liked at all), but I definitely have my fair share of issues with it. Bloodborne is miles ahead of it IMO.

Dark Souls 3 (At the final boss just searching for anything I have missed and getting the trophies that I can)
Bravely Default (At the final boss, ninja team isn't working out)
Valkyrie Chronicles Remastered (Barely started it yet)
Yakuza 5 (Haruka and Akiyama chapter)
