I decided to bump this old thread because my ISP (Netia) upgraded my fibre speed from 150/50 to 1000/100 for 2 months for free (I only to restart my router), I don't know why they are doing this but I'm not against it



I have this speed for 10 days now and to be honest I don't feel much difference, not many things even get close to that speed, Steam usually runs around ~40MB/s



So I get over 2x the speed than usual, it's great but I expected more from wealthy Valve. Form my experience I don't think there is much point of having internet faster than 200mb/s for home use.
